my experience over the years has been excellent with FEDEX and USPS...

not so with UPS--numerous broken items and many times even insured packages left outdoors in unsecure locations and neighborhoods. Many times UPS just dumps packages outside without bothering to knock or ring the bell....guess it's faster that way.....Much of the time I find USPS the best!

I've had packages shipped by USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL - and I have NEVER had a problem with FedEx! DHL basically sux - late delivery, smashed boxes, etc. UPS is okay, but generally not as fast as FedEx. USPS? Slow, slow SLOW!! And online tracking usually doesn't work .

By the way, FedEx is gradually replacing all Airbus planes with Boeing. They canceled the order for A380s and are getting 777s instead. 757s are replacing other of their older Airbus planes, with more changes to come.

@SYLO15FOREVER I hope everyone realizes that Fred Smith pulled a contract from an American company (Boeing) to give it to a European company (Airbus) because the big bad government threatened to make Fed Ex live under the same rules as UPS. He took jobs from Americans when they needed them most. Remember that when you need express shipping.

UPS and the unions are trying to put language in a bill before congress that would make it easier for FedEx to Unionize. Bottom line, more costs for FedEx, so shipping costs go up. The Bill before congress doe allow Fed Ex to unionize. Costs would go up for Fed Ex...that is the crux... they would also have to be fair to their employees. Or we can make our own opinions instead of being spoon fed propaganda. FedEx complains about UPS pushing for equal practices when FedEx themselves spent millions in ad campaigns and lobbying as well. Its the same business model and by the FPLA should be regulated by the same laws. I've worked for both UPS for 3 years and Fedex for two and its essentially the same job in all positions.

@MONAVIERONJON FedEx is a terrible company to work for now. They got rid of all their old-timers for low-paying young workers. Also got rid of most their medical benefits and stole the retirement benefits in the process. They fired the older workers through intimidation and bogus accusations. The stress an old-timer was under was far too great to handle because of all the spying on and the watching of every single step they made. Hence, many quit to preserve their sanity.

This makes me sick, either you are an outsider that has no idea what is going on, or a former employee that probably had a crap attitude and we did what we should have and let you go. I have had two friends with FedEx pass away in the past three years, both with Cancer. FedEx covered 95% or more. And the life insurance helped out their families. You suck!

@MONAVIERONJON FedEx pays their employees more, FedEx is also not a union which means our drivers are contracted, and they get fucked in the ass if they don't do their job right. Damage packages are tracked to the person who supposedly last touched them based on who scanned it, there are ways to avoid being caught under this but there is enough of a risk for losing your job and the over all management of the company can track damages to where they are happening. 2 year FedEx employee.

90% of all USPS is now sent via FedEx. FedEx negotiated and won the postal contract for hauling mail thru the year 2020. The other 10% is split up between UPS and the other major airlines. I know this because I was privey to the contract negotiations. FedEx also picked up about 30% of the DHL freight along with about 20% of UPS' freight permanently after the last UPS strike.

1. DHL still operates in the US but only if you get the package from another country. They will ship it in because they still operate internationally. That and it's funny because UPS actually ships the excess USPS packages and I've even seen a good amount of Fed-Ex packages come through. So go with whoever you want, but there is a good chance UPS has its hands on it at sometime or another. :)

Actually UPS was only flying DHL packages for DHL because they couldn't afford to fly their own planes anymore. DHL was still delivering them themselves. The DHL boxes we deliver are actual UPS packages, but the customer used a pre existing DHL box, that's all. UPS and FedEx went around trying to recruit DHL customers by following DHL trucks to their customers. then talking to the customers about switching, that was the only way DHL customers came to either UPS or FedEx.DHLl is still in Europe.

USPS gives you a tracking number for free with priority mail if you get the label online. And you can pay an extra $.18 for first class.

You need to look at which service you used, ie ground, express, homedelivery, freight, national ltl and I think there is 12 op co.'s altogether. Once you understand your service, you will know what you get. All are different. Express and home delivery being the best for parcels. And if you called 1-888-Go-FedEx. you don't know your service clearly

Pick up is $4 with FedEx not $10. It's Declared value not insurance. If package becomes lost or damaged you can file a claim but must submit proof of value also. Fedex Ground is the most economical. Make sure you declare a value if over $100 when you drop your package off & keep your tracking #.
