  • What key is his harmonica in? I've been playing this song for awhile i think it would be nice to add harmonica.

  • @BeatsofE I play it in G minor but from the looks of it they are playing it in A minor. So a standard C harmonica will do, will take some note bending though

  • @Amoreorignalname Alright Thanks I'll try it out.

  • I guess he's the new Bob Dylan or something.

  • @MeRocklivesforever the original skateboards warehouse vid rite?

  • @Mjlongboarding original is the shit

  • The melody and lyrics are whats important. Nobody ever bitched because Johhny Cash only used 3 chords.

  • What is with people breaking down structures of songs? moaning about how many chords are used and what timing every thing is? music is art.... its not some

scientific formula.... you didnt see native Indians with scale charts and time structures!!! its music! art! self expression! ANYTHING GOES!!

  • @ThreeDLee09 Amen brother! The chords he is playing is C#minor G# Minor E Major B Major and F# Major and he is finger picking the chords which means he is playing several of the notes that make up the different chords so he is playing much more than 5 notes I assure you of it. But most importantly as ThreeDLee09 has stated this song is about the story being told a man who can't change his ways even though he would like redemption. Plus chords are rhythm the melody is whats important

  • What a band, found about them on a skateboarding video

    and HELL are they good...

    Keep rockin' Trapper...

oh! And don't forget to Trap(per) Justin Bieber in a lonely sad and dark hole, k?

  • Lovely stuff.

  • what key is that harmonica in?

  • This is great stuff. He`s got it. Sounds like Bob and Jakob. Great song, really.

  • this song is f#$%ing awesome. no image trying to be sold. is it country? is it rock? i have no idea. all i know, is it gives me chills. and that rocks!

  • holy crap, this rocks

  • @NeurallyYours and if you kinda notice the harmonica right infront of his face xD

  • Absolutely nothing happens the same as before youre spawned.

  • What do u think happens after we die?

  • @sluggo06 Everyone else keeps living.

  • This tune got me into the band. Good to see they can hold it up without a net.

  • @TreyRoque I could only stand the studio version for about 20 secs.

  • i don't think this sounds like bob dylan...it's just folk music.

  • If you like Blitzen trapper, check out The Floorwalkers. Just as eclectic as Blitzen!

  • @Muzak1515 OK, I will!

  • @TreyRoque I'm back, They're good!

    Check out Palestramusic channel.

  • I see by remarks below, that we are all notice this lead singer being the perfect 'cast' for a lead in a Bob Dylan bio film. Somebody give me a holler, when it hits the market. I'll come see it, for sure. Hope he can act.

  • Amazing i can play this on guitar, reminds me so much of bob dylan.

  • It's definitely the 5th fret

  • I love how there are three people but one guy is playing guitar harmonica and singing very good and the other guys back up sing and play shakers.

  • just an amazing artist! he's filling the song with only an acoustic guitar and a harmonica

  • No Dislikes after 33,668 views. nice

  • @jmcmaster109

    still no thumbs down :D

    41,590

  • next Bob Dylan

he sounds like him, looks like him (jawline), harmonica!, talent!

  • @serena1523 Agreed

  • Actually sir its pretty easy, just improv.

  • Check out the cover from MattBradyBand it's a chick singing and playing it. It's awesome!

  • Near Perfect

  • @au4040 Harmonicas are often called harps. Look up Aeolian harps. Or just mouth organs/harps, it's just a nickname really.

Love the harp in this cover, fits really well :D

  • soy enamorado con el picking

  • that was very casual

  • is that harp in c

  • The chord progression to this song is: Am, Em, C, G, D. He's using a capo on the 5th fret. To play in the same key as him do the exact same fingering positions, just 5 frets higher.

  • i wish i knew what he was picking though...

  • @stratocod It's capo'd on the 4th fret

  • looks like he might have nylon strings

  • fucking idiot

    clearly not

  • @spkt3tnt no it doesn't? You can hear it isn't

  • Brill

  • I know it's an Alvarez but does anyone know what the model is? This sounds sweet!

  • Is that an Alvarez? Didnt know they made one that sound that good.

  • really ?

Alvarez have several top of the line guitars that sound amazing. They also have cheaper guitars that sound really good for the price.

  • I can't even describe the wonder this song evokes. Thank you.

  • WOUUUUUHHHHH TROP BON

  • Ace

  • This song is awesome, is it me or is it much faster than normal?

  • Someone said "its only like 5 chords".

    Yeah, but:

    1. he's playing finger-style guitar and not making any mistakes at all

    2. he's freakin' SINGING at the same time

    3. these 5 chords are put together REALLY WELL.

    So there.

  • I agree. Totally talent AND amazing

  • @NeurallyYours no this song is very very very easy to play and sing..and it's not very good ://

  • @BIGMAYNEGREGG You are a fool.

  • Nay, he is flatpicking: Pick between thumb and forefinger, picking with ring and middle. I think it's more difficult than finger picking, myself, but a pick is a nice thing to have in your arsenal if you can't grow a gnarly thumbnail. :)

  • @NeurallyYours He's also playing the Harmonica at the same time.

  • i wanna learn how to play this sooo bad

  • It's only 4 chords, but this guy is extremely talented. I saw them a few weeks ago in Milwaukee. He may be the 2nd coming of Dylan. Love these guys

  • oh my god does he actually play this singing and playing? that is insane, usually artists play simpler chords live simply wow

  • yeah, amazing huh! he's using a pick and also picking with his other fingers.. and making no mistakes... wow

  • its only like 5 chords

  • yeah I know but it's the finger picking and such ha I'm just a bad guitar player so it's amazing to me

  • this is lovely.

  • this is awesome

  • Listened to them on Sound Opionions with Jim and Greg. They were evasive on every question, which is probably the way it should be.

  • Simmons..but this was a weird coincidence..i use to volunteer for wnrn in charlottesville, during my college years

  • oh yeah? Who are you?

  • heron, i use to do the news with jerry, maybe a year ago..i wasn't that great..lol

  • Willy SIMMONS!

  • I wouldn't say that he is just like him, but reminiscent. There is one song on the album that reminds me of Neil Young...and I don't think you can rule him out as an influence. But, Dylan and Young are 2 of the coolest musicians who've lived, IMO.

  • This song is so badass! It's like my life story!

  • hes just like DYLAN

  • From the album Furr signed by Sub Pop. Also includes 'furr', and 'fire and fast bullets'.

  • Unreal .. wicked tune

  • what an amazing song! can't stop singing this in my head all day.

  • this songs been stuck in my head for a month

  • amen, i could never get enough of it and every time i heard it i understood more and more about the meaning of the song.... fucking brilliant

  • i fucking love this song

  • I heard this live on the radio. AMAZING performance. Thank you WNRN!

    love,

    bryan smith
