This part didn't make much sense... assuming the wind holes are in fact, wind based jutsu, shouldn't the fire just have ate through it? After all, wind is weak to fire.

@Meidoification You'r rigth, but it works simmilar to blowing a candle: with the rigth blow, oxygen has too much speed for the flame to keep burning, ergo the flams go down.

@gof666 Yeah, but this is Sauske's CS1 hosenka, not a candle. The only explaination is that Sauske meant for the flames to burn out to reveal the shurikens, but that wouldn't make much sense either.

@Meidoification Again, I disagree. As far as I read & watched, chakra is used as an fuel-ignition mix inside of the body. For it to burn it needs air, oxygen to be exact. That's why they inhale befor every katon tech.

All in all, ninja provides fuel & ignition. If you remove a variable, which is air here, the flames will simply disappear.

@wzika Phoenix Fire is a technic that sets shurikens on fire and sends them spinning foward with the sheer pressure of the blow, so I'll say they were an example of "looking underneath the underneath", meaning they were thrown at the very begining of the tech.
