You know, I always wondered why the music from this game was so AWESOME, then when I bought the soundtrack, I found out why. Two simple words... NOBUO UEMATSU!!!!!!!! Yes, appearently he did some of the music for this. What else can be said except, Nobuo Uematsu - bringing gamers and musicians together.

On a side note, please Square Enix... PLEASE, bring back the Crono Bus (as Stuttering Criag would say).

Perhaps Final Fantasy turned the way it did because of so many sequels. I'm kind of glad they kept so few in the Chrono series for that reason.

Unless they can figure out how to constantly recapture what we loved about the other Chrono games, it's best they leave it alone and just continue to re-release the classics for a new generation of fans. I never want to be tired of the Chrono series.

I used to use Magus (Janus) and Robo (Prometheus). My favorite triple techs, however, were Dark Eternal and Delta Storm - I've no idea why, I just found those the coolest things ever, though nothing was quite as fun as Poyozo Dance. My favorite double techs were Spire and Supervolt. Unequivacally cool to watch. Eventually (for sheer damage) I ended up with Marle and Ayla (Cube Toss). Favorite 'there's a story therer' party: Lucca, Frog, Magus. Thanks, Hyadain! You rock! Please continue!

Just do a search on "chrono trigger epoch launch". You'll find a cutscene from the PS and DS versions of Chrono Trigger that will show the underside of the epoch.

After just playing through a ton of the DS version, the only one whose voice I think is kinda off is Magus. he seems to be a much more sympathetic and misunderstood character. I do think that he would be a bass voice, but not as gravely and evil sounding.

More Melody, I'd say. So much game music nowadays is so ambient; it fades in to the background and you forget it's even there. Back then, sound design was limited, so music had to basically carry a game, so you had really strong, memorable melodies.
