been thinking about this today...meditation, the oneness, consciousness...and your discourse on the subject is very interesting. Will bookmark....need to resolve this for myself.
Do you think that the universe is in perfect order? There are some people that think so. It seems like there are so much chaos in this world, but out of these chaos come order. Good and bad exist and one would not exist without the other and they compliment each other. Mental illness is actually spiritual deprivation. What do you think?

and it boils down to the main question. "who am I" when we ask this question, a question that we can't truly answer because "I am what I am" we start to come up with different ideas of who we THINK we are, and because we go through this thinking process, completely oblivious that who you think you are is completely molded/defined by your environment, then people start viewing themselves as separate, completely unique individuals, creating the "negative ego" separating us from each other.
"There is no wrong, there is no right, the circle only has one side"
Tranformation is inevitable IMO. I like to think of it as a young child on a swing. The ride is so hypnotizing that you forget there is someone behind you, who is pushing you every now and then, keeping you in motion. We are about to be pushed once again.. we mite even make it over the top aswell lol!
Some interesting thoughts. And you are right, we are at war. With ourselves. Is peace a possibility? As a hopeless optimists.. i believe it is and wonder.. how many others amongst us feel the same way? :)
I think you're right that world war 3 has already begun. It's sad and it seems like the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq just keep going on without end. Interesting thoughts on global warming, too. :)
It was difficult to listen to what you were saying cos you've recorded some real bad feedback, and it was comin out th right speaker, but i soldiered thru, and grasped th flow of thought from mysticism, thru individualism to evolutionary nexus/catalyst.
People used to think the moon was made of cheese, but Armstrong et al landed on solid rock (sadly). A cheesy moon would have solved most of humanity's problems, but I guess we would have just ate it all and ruined Earth's ecosystem some more in doing so. The theory of alienation by karl marx, a bit dry, but sheds a different perspective on this separation you spoke of.
I agree, Matt. I think that we ARE in the middle of a crisis in western culture. There may be so many apathetic people because it is easier to sit in a stupor than to actually DO anything. By the way, I disagree with Z4IUS. I think we do need to start looking at what is happening and why before it is too late.
Lots of brains see these as real issues. If there is an objective reality, no brain has access to it, so we may as well be practical and accept that perception is reality for human beings. Even science can only offer human truths, not objective truths.
So how can you think the world is on the brink of collapse, while I think it will not? - and claim that whats in your head must be true? If everything is entirely subjective then no truths exists - which is in it self a truth statement.
Z4IUS, just because you choose to have no interior life doesn't mean that everyone else must make the same choice. Besides I'm not sure why you think someone making a reasoned supposition about future conditions based on present conditions is a purely subjective :-O
Was this directed towards me? If so, I'm not claiming to know an objective reality. Merely, that I disagree, hence his claim to be invalid. He's clearly deluded. Through subjectivity he's claiming awareness of an all encompassing transformation. Not possible unless HE claims to KNOW an objective reality.
There exist objective realities within qualified frameworks. If this was not true none of our science or magic would work. It is true that an individual cannot fathom unqualified objectivity, but therein lies the importance and implied purpose of unity through good work.

I agree with you and feel a lot of the same things you do. Have you read the Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle?

This doomsday vision exists only in your brain. You can THINK/believe anything, but that does not mean it exists in an objective reality.

I don't think the world is on the brink of collapse, I think it is on the brink of transformation.

The world is constantly transforming - you can't possibly comprehend all the changes in your head.

You can't even rightfully picture the setting in which I'm sitting in right now - much less the future. lol

Ah so you admit he's merely waxing away and nothing he is saying is valid. You've confirmed my point. Thank you. Cheers!

The transformation has already started. Change is the only constant.
