Can't understand how people can appreciate movies like this. I watch A LOT of movies and this was purely a disapointment just like great deal of the horror movies. It was boring, unoriginal and the plot was pretty stupid. 3 out of 10 points is my rating for this movie.

I watched this late last night on TV. I had never seen it before but its the best thriller ever better than the crap today. :O when the police officer is there and when she is hiding in the ceiling and her boyfriend is like i promise i'll be back and he opens the door and he gets stabbed! The motel owner is insane! The scarriest thing is that this could happen!

DON'T READ IF HAVEN'T SEEN MOVIE Good movie. Scary. Especially since this could really happen. What is stupid about it though is in all the videos everyone gets stabbed 20-30 times, except for Luke Wilson. He only gets stabbed one time just so he can still be alive at the end and have a happily ever after ending. As well as if he laid there for the rest of the night until morning with a stab wound in his gut he would've bled to death. So that was dumb.

Really good movie...why do people say it's bad? Only thing i hated was that it revealed too much, and it turned into just action rather than thriller. I wish it'd just stayed as suspense throughout the entire film, for example they don't reveal the faces of those killers, they leave the guy with the glasses as the creepy type of guy, always hidden and doesn't show up till the end or something. Overall i really liked it.

this movie was a good movie, but the end is kinda stupid! 0mg i remember me my older sis and my little sis watched it like at midnight! (my mom was in the room) all the lights were shut off, and their was this one part where the scary music was on, my litle sis was under the covers, and i was soo scared, then all of a sudden someone knocked on my door, when the scary music just stopped. we were screaming for about a minute, then we found out it wa just my moms cousing (they were goin to a party)

Lessons learned -

1. Always have a full gallon of Gas.

2. Never trust a GODDAMN REDNECK MOTEL OWNER.

3. If possible, don't bother sleeping a Motel. Cars, Truck Stations, and by a rare, unexpected choice, Brothels are SAFER.

4. If you blatantly ignored the first three rules, so long, it was nice knowing you.

My mom had recorded this for us to watch and we got tired and my dad was out of town so just before we went to bed he would call us and it was about 10 minutes after the whole Door banging no ones there and the phones ringing and no ones there....and then my dad called us....Lol I started freaking out lol.

This movie made me afraid of hotels. One time we were in a hotel and I went and checked under the rug to make sure there was no Tunnel or anything lol. AMAZING And SCARY movie.

Awesome movie! I didn't expect much of it, but in the end everything was perfect; the setting, acting (I really didn't think that Luke Wilson would pulled it off) and creppy atmosphere. I don't understand why people hate this movie so much; I think the problem is that people take horror movies too seriously, because in real life noone would spend a night in a empty motel. :) This is just a movie, not real life, so stop complaining! :)

@NdotDiggity I think this was so much better than strangers. The ending of the strangers was total shit but this was at least believable, albeit a bit predictable. For the strangers, i didnt even know if the woman was dead in the last scene. And it was too easy for them to be caught and killed.
