  • The grammophone looks nice! Has someone turned the handle, maybe?

  • The grammophone looks nice! Is it electric or not?

  • Who added the final verse that doesn't show up in this cut:

Mystery train, smokin' down the track,

Mystery train, smokin' down the track,

    Well, I don't need no ride;

    Just bring my baby back.

  • I am not downgrading or belittling Mr. Parker....he was obviously a talented man...but for me Presley's version blows this away

  • superb,

  • thanks for this---love yer.

  • i just heard these on allmemphismusic and went what tha! when they did the intro! Didnt believe the name. GREAT music tho

  • thanks for sharing one of the greatest record of all time.

    Cyrille

  • The ultimate version.

You have the best records in the world, by the way.

  • Elvis had a different sounding versin, but this one is history It simply amazes me how much talent came through the doors of Sun..from Elvis to Carl Perkins, to the Prisionaires. little milton, Roy Orbisson..just endless for a small studio Sam Phillips desrves lots of credit..and, oh yeah..Jerry Lee Lewis

  • lets not forget Howlin wolf chester arthur burnette

  • Presley version is really great, he changed the tempo or something.

  • "Presley version is really great, he changed the tempo or something." Elvis, Scotty, and Bill's arrangement of "Mystery Train" was closely based on the other side of this record, "Love My Baby."

  • Ah, I'm hearing someone who must have influenced Junior Wells.

  • Recorded at Sun Studio.

  • this is too damn much i think im having a stroke

  • wow--what a gas to see this disc go round---dig it---thanks

  • Thank you,Thank you,Thank you!

  • History!

  • Bugsy you're a fucking asshole :)

  • why?

  • great...but now you need to put on the other side and the world will truly know how elvis' version came together

  • What's on the other side?

  • Love My Baby, the 2 combined make Elvis Presley's (parker Phillips) Version of Mystery Train.

  • Cool, thanks.

  • @sunrecords56 yes indeed, you'll find it here in my vids

  • 1st heard an edinburgh band ''Blues'n'trouble play this20 years ago & loved it ever since, classic blues mmm

  • hey, I was talking about the way you keep your 78's in that kooky box, with the edge of the record holding the weight of the record and taking all of the impact of movement.... that one of the ways they get those nifty edge chips you see...wanna sell it?

  • For someone who still owns over 1,000 LP's, "on the edge" is how you must store them. Laying them flat will cause them to warp and become unplayable. The 78's are still in their sleeves, which helps keep them from rolling around and reduces impact.

Just thought you might like to know.

  • as some one (me) who owns over 30,000 records I must say when it comes to lps you are coreect because the are made of vinyl.

when it comes to 78's however you are wrong. 78's are made of shlaq, ad will break sometimes just by touching them.

Heat is the only thing that can warp a 78. and I store 78's in a bag with 1/4 inch cardboard and sleeve. never stack more than 20 at a time. this will avoid any warping and edge chips

  • Thank you. Learn something new every day.

  • wanna sell it? Bugsy!

  • Wow! Man, that is a cool video. Thanks for that. I love the Elvis version and I love the UFO version. But to know from where they got their inspiration is the mut's nuts.

  • In re to bugsycline, you won't find a better recording unless you go to the masters. This is a 55 yr old record obviously lovingly cared for.

  • Thankyou for posting this, a rare treat

  • wow look at that condition... you should treat it better

  • On Sun, and before Elvis... I can imagine Elvis playing this on his record player saying "Hm, maybe I should record that one..."

  • @aldiakaroofus Yeah - Elvis (and Chuck Berry as well as a lot of the other early rockers) had a great ear for music that would rock!!!
