  • I dont think this demo does the pitchfactor justice... Ive heard some really cool stuff from it on Deerhunter's album Halcyon Digest.

  • My A.D.D wont allow me to get this...

  • Excelent !!! What 's the expression pedal ?

  • sounds like shit!

  • @510danr

You say it sounds like shit?

    I say cool story bro.

  • Who are you and what did you do to Paul? :OO

  • at first I thought this was just a pitch box. Really now, what effect doesn't this have though? Pitch, delay, chorus, a tuner, etc.

  • Love my Timefactor, and this thing sounds awesome! Very impressive work by Eventide!

  • can it remember a several of chords? and can i press trough the chords with the footswitches?

  • How many "voices" can you add?

  • @potofgravy i think u can simultaneously control 2 at a time plus delay

  • How can you fuck up tuning so badly with a huge LCD display? That B wasn't even close! Yeah, you know what OP is.....

  • If I can get a really smooth octave effect, adding just a trace of delay on that could give me a fat jazz tone from my archtop.

  • This guy has taken far too much of whatever he takes.

  • i want your guitar

  • doesnt sound like it tracks well at all to me. correct me if im wrong.

  • @SmallFish616 i have the pitch factor and the tracking is horrible. get a digitech harmony man if you want that harmony sound. for the pitch flex sound get the morpheus droptune

  • @SmallFish616 Tracking is about delay.. a delay has been programmed into the machine.. you dont need to have that delay..

  • @SmallFish616 Some presets track good and some are strange. The Quadravox and Micro track excellent and that's all I care really. Pichflex tracks great, really can't mess that up much and it's probably the best Wammy pedal effect out there. I have some videos about settings and harmonies. I don't talk, just play and show you settings and use it like a real person would that isn't just farting around with presets with no goal to accomplish.

  • this vid doesnt even compare to paul form guitar worlds no offense i love paul but this vid kicks ass!

  • The opening part is super awkward... Crystals isn't supposed to sound so bad. :(

  • This sounds like absolute ass. The harmony man is just so much more focused. And it sounds better. Digitech is now at a different league in harmonizing.

  • This guy looks like a major stoner ahaha, good for him.

  • If it plays like this video its CRAP. This is the worst video I have ever seen stopped like 30 times. JOKE.

  • Aha...this is how Vini Reilly does it.

  • the octave on this sounds like ass

  • Woa woa woa, ease up there buddy, we bass players get enough grief without you telling guitarists they can replace us with a pedal. First it was the drummers now us...

  • @PierreAndreJacques you can also use PitchFactor with a bass to transpose up 2 or 3 octaves and play guitar solos on the bass! Try it it's fun!!

  • If I had the money, I would literally go out now and get it. Respect.

  • Can it do regular harmony (plain 5ths, 4ths, etc) as well as the "intelligent" harmonizing?

  • me and this little baby could have fun together everyday. awesome!

  • delay harmonizer?

  • dudes! this thing is outta this world!!

  • Il y a un test de l'Eventide PitchFactor sur AudioBusters !

  • fuck women. i just fell in love with that thing.

  • fucking sick

  • I just bought one of these this week, and while it is pricey it is also freaking incredible. Blows any other pitch shifting/harmonizing stomp box out of the water (believe me, I've played a bunch of others: Digitech, Boss, Zoom, etc). Most demo videos only touch how customizable it is. This pedal is simply insane.

  • @jflotrogdor I'm going to buy an eventide pedal

but i don't know if a must buy the pitchfactor or the timefactor

    what do you recomend??

I know that the pitchfactor have delay

but I really don't know wich I must buy

    any advice???

  • @KrlosSanAvi The Pitchfactor has very good sounding delays and reverb, but they are a bit limited. About the same amount of features as a Boss digital delay/reverb though they do sound better. It is certainly capable in its own right, but the Timefactor can do a lot more. They are both outstanding, but the Timefactor and the Pitchfactor are very different pedals built for different purposes. So it should come down to whether you are looking for a delay/reverb pedal or a pitch shifting pedal.

  • WORST DEMO I HAVE SEEN YET..

  • this is literally the coolest guitar pedal I've ever heard.

but there's no way in hell I'm paying anything over $200 for any pedal. not that it isn't worth it, it's just expensive.

  • Im so gonna buy this..

  • does anyone know how much this costs in the UK? i'm seriously tempted

  • @hondansx1000 Assuming it's sold for the same amount as it is here in the States, it'd run about 278 quid over there.

  • ...I....want....this....pedal....so....hard....

  • The whammy effect is a lot better than a whammy technically speaking.

    pretty sick.

  • All I need from it to get this Bass Tone!

Why there are not any stomp boxes giving you bass sound out of electric!

  • Like anything, you have to use it right - and not overdo it. That's why some people get crap sound with excess FX

  • also, Eventide: the all in one unit to make any combination of high end guitar and nice tube amp sound like a small, $50 solid state amp.

  • i wanna hear harmonized distorted leads

  • Inspiring

  • Comment removed

  • this looks like a very fun toy... too bad its $500

  • @theaxelofrose They're $400 on eBay but people are buying the $400 ones and jacking them up to 500 already.

  • @theaxelofrose It's Eventide, what did you expect? lol You get what you pay for, there is no denying that! :D

  • Comment removed

  • Also, until these pedals, in order to take these sounds on the road with you, you had to buy one of their studio racks which were anywhere from $3000- $5000+ So, I will be buying one of these as well as the Space pedal, mix that with a T.C. Electronics Stereo Chorus pedal and a Joe Bonamassa Fuzz Face and I should be happy for a while! They are why most cant recreate the exact sounds of the greats over the decades of great music.

  • @theaxelofrose They are like 400 used

  • faking a bass with a looper could be really cool but otherwise... no, the drop tuning demo sounded like shite.

I think its good for expression but it doesnt really pull off what we'd like it to as well as it could... personally i think those vr strats do it better.

  • damn this thing is great...if I can hook this up to my line 6 spider III i am a happy man....this thing is just amazing...no wonder John Petrucci uses this

  • how is this with full chords

  • man these guys gotta make a distortion pedal

  • What a fantastic box. Damn, Eventide just keeps on bringing it. I wonder what is up their sleeves for the next release.

  • This dude looks like he just smoked a fat blunt!

  • And your issue with that?

  • Is that he's bogarting! (not sharing)

  • LOL! I I haven't heard the term "bogarting" in ages. My days of smoking weed are pretty much long gone, but I have no prob with others toking.

  • bogarting means holding it too long in rotation, not 'not sharing'. i.e. the way humphrey is always holding his smoke and talking and NOT smoking!

  • Same thing dumb ass

  • don't bogart that joint!

  • I have a Boss SE-70 and if I had to chose, I would take the SE because if its many other quality effects in it. Eventode did it again, enginering every possible way to use pitch shifting and put it in a box. Supurb sound tho.

  • Do you know if this or the SE has a stereo doubling effect? I've heard some great doubled rhythms done with the old trusty but no mention on these.

  • Eventide Pitch Factor harmonizer stomp box

say that 10 times fast lol

  • SIMPLY AWESOME THANKS FOR POSTING!

  • can this pedal be Bypassed or Muted by MIDI only?

  • One thing that I find unfortunate is that not a lot of built in tuners have adjustable frequency. I play in loads of different bands, from standard rock line up to big band and not all tune in 440Hz. And whenever there's an instrument like piano that can't be tuned in a minute or so, you'll have to adjust and your ear is not always 100% accurate

  • Oh. My. God.

  • want one!!!!

but i dont have £450 for a pedal...

  • Mwah!

  • I must have this.

  • Wow...this thing is teh neatzorz

  • This thing is blowing my mind. The possibilities are freaking endless.

  • the second i heard about this thing, i was like NO FUCKIN WAY. i dont think people realize what this can do for them, the E3000 or whatever its called is way to fuckin pricy, but its AMAZING. this changes the game dude.

  • Absolutely. I'd love to get my hands on one of these things. I've been dreaming about making these sounds since I got my first copy of Passion and Warefare... before I even started playing guitar!!

  • Me too. I've recorded a lot of stuff and went back over it, which was good practice, but I know some people that just use this (or the old trusty) and it actually sounds better. Even when they showed me tracks they dualed without it then with it, it was still better.

  • hey someone can tell me if this pedal can reproduce the classical "heaven" setting on the Eventide H3000 (used in steve vai's the riddle) ?

  • This pedal deserves a better demo, somebody call the funny guy from Boss!!

  • Also... this isn't the Boss because he plays Telecasters and Esquiers mostly... so don't be fags.

  • This is waaay cool. Now I just need to win the lotto and I'll get all the gear I want.

  • At the 6 min mark he shows how to change the pitch of your guitar. For example, you might want to drop your tuning from E to Eb. I have tried this with other pedal (DigiTech HarmonyMan) and, while it works, you can tell that the signal has been altered--there are audible and undesirable warbling sounds that are introduced. Can this pedal do the same thing, but without any of the warbling or other digital artifacts? I'm sure Eventide is better, but is it still noticeable? Thanks for any help!

  • Probably, listen to when he tunes it down for yourself, it sounds pretty real, plus it's WAY easier than using a separate guitar. (Plus on that standard neck scale Strat he's playing, tuning down baritone would sound like an ogre farting into a microphone.) It sounds pretty real.

  • Hey man you want to sell this unit tell them Eddie van halen uses this alot micropitchshift, 5150, 84, fairwairing, the micropitchshift if you got to any studio the eventide 3000 or other will be on the patch!

  • which one its better this one or the whammy of digitech

  • THIS BY FAAAAAAR!

  • the digitech whammys harmoniser does not stick to one key you cna play any key and it does the right harmony

  • Huh really? You have to manually change it the last time I checked, which is a pain in the ass. With this, you can even just play chords and it will auto-detect the key. Plus, with this, you have a completely smooth signal when chording or bending, the Whammy is obsolete in basically every way.

  • FINALLY, some info on the net about this box. I'd heard vague rumors of this thing's existence. I was beginning to think Eventide were ashamed of this efx pedal.

  • He was showing the tuner to demonstrate its key recognition time which is very fast. Alot of units generate error glitches. Very rare with the Eventide signal structure.

  • Wait, you think that this guy is the Boss? How fucking stupid are you?!?!?

  • Comment removed

  • Sweeeeeet

  • Hey man i m wondering can i use this in the effects loop of my amp?

  • It should work just fine in the effects loop of your amp. I currently have a boss ps-3 in my loop due to the delay function and the pitch function seems to work okay. However, when using other pedals on the direct line-in of my amp it gets a little shaky. I will probably sound best right after the guitar. Just my thoughts...

  • This is really cool.

  • I know the guy who helped bulid this thing... he let me try the beta test verison out... its so sick

  • Hell yeah!

  • it's got a tuner. there goes my pitch black

  • my $50 behringer V-amp does all this except the chord recognition part.

  • Comment removed

  • >>my $50 behringer V-amp does all this except the chord recognition part.

    errr, no!

maybe the tuner function, but the V-Amps I have tried do not do any of these features.

  • simple, vamp is good for that price and if you dont play in gigs its okey!! but Eventide is professional, quality etc etc... is the lambroghini of studio effects.

  • I have the same amp as you xD for me is and awesome amp since I cannot afford more expensive and bigger amps

  • Ahh paul is the best demo dude

  • wow..i want it

u can use this with an acoustic right? (might be a stupid question)

  • theoreticly you can use every instrument with a pickup on guitar hardware. if your acoustic have a pickup with standart cable plag you can use it.

  • goddamit the thing's 500 bux.

  • yup, i was sold until i saw the price, haha

great pedal, but not worth what i could get a good guitar with

  • This thing would be so handy when recording dual leads

  • I thought the virus was fucking up youtube

  • it wuz a utube april fools joke

  • i think Gustavo Cerati uses that too for the song "Disco Eterno" with Soda Stereo..

    se la rifa ese pedal!

es el k usa Cerati con Soda en la rola "Disco Eterno"

  • this video for some reason is upside down

  • this is a cool joke and all, but i would really like to see my videos right side up now...
