@SmallFish616 i have the pitch factor and the tracking is horrible. get a digitech harmony man if you want that harmony sound. for the pitch flex sound get the morpheus droptune
@SmallFish616 Some presets track good and some are strange. The Quadravox and Micro track excellent and that's all I care really. Pichflex tracks great, really can't mess that up much and it's probably the best Wammy pedal effect out there. I have some videos about settings and harmonies. I don't talk, just play and show you settings and use it like a real person would that isn't just farting around with presets with no goal to accomplish.
This sounds like absolute ass. The harmony man is just so much more focused. And it sounds better. Digitech is now at a different league in harmonizing.
Woa woa woa, ease up there buddy, we bass players get enough grief without you telling guitarists they can replace us with a pedal. First it was the drummers now us...
I just bought one of these this week, and while it is pricey it is also freaking incredible. Blows any other pitch shifting/harmonizing stomp box out of the water (believe me, I've played a bunch of others: Digitech, Boss, Zoom, etc). Most demo videos only touch how customizable it is. This pedal is simply insane.
@KrlosSanAvi The Pitchfactor has very good sounding delays and reverb, but they are a bit limited. About the same amount of features as a Boss digital delay/reverb though they do sound better. It is certainly capable in its own right, but the Timefactor can do a lot more. They are both outstanding, but the Timefactor and the Pitchfactor are very different pedals built for different purposes. So it should come down to whether you are looking for a delay/reverb pedal or a pitch shifting pedal.
Also, until these pedals, in order to take these sounds on the road with you, you had to buy one of their studio racks which were anywhere from $3000- $5000+ So, I will be buying one of these as well as the Space pedal, mix that with a T.C. Electronics Stereo Chorus pedal and a Joe Bonamassa Fuzz Face and I should be happy for a while! They are why most cant recreate the exact sounds of the greats over the decades of great music.
faking a bass with a looper could be really cool but otherwise... no, the drop tuning demo sounded like shite.
I think its good for expression but it doesnt really pull off what we'd like it to as well as it could... personally i think those vr strats do it better.
damn this thing is great...if I can hook this up to my line 6 spider III i am a happy man....this thing is just amazing...no wonder John Petrucci uses this
I have a Boss SE-70 and if I had to chose, I would take the SE because if its many other quality effects in it. Eventode did it again, enginering every possible way to use pitch shifting and put it in a box. Supurb sound tho.
One thing that I find unfortunate is that not a lot of built in tuners have adjustable frequency. I play in loads of different bands, from standard rock line up to big band and not all tune in 440Hz. And whenever there's an instrument like piano that can't be tuned in a minute or so, you'll have to adjust and your ear is not always 100% accurate
the second i heard about this thing, i was like NO FUCKIN WAY. i dont think people realize what this can do for them, the E3000 or whatever its called is way to fuckin pricy, but its AMAZING. this changes the game dude.
Absolutely. I'd love to get my hands on one of these things. I've been dreaming about making these sounds since I got my first copy of Passion and Warefare... before I even started playing guitar!!
Me too. I've recorded a lot of stuff and went back over it, which was good practice, but I know some people that just use this (or the old trusty) and it actually sounds better. Even when they showed me tracks they dualed without it then with it, it was still better.
At the 6 min mark he shows how to change the pitch of your guitar. For example, you might want to drop your tuning from E to Eb. I have tried this with other pedal (DigiTech HarmonyMan) and, while it works, you can tell that the signal has been altered--there are audible and undesirable warbling sounds that are introduced. Can this pedal do the same thing, but without any of the warbling or other digital artifacts? I'm sure Eventide is better, but is it still noticeable? Thanks for any help!
Probably, listen to when he tunes it down for yourself, it sounds pretty real, plus it's WAY easier than using a separate guitar. (Plus on that standard neck scale Strat he's playing, tuning down baritone would sound like an ogre farting into a microphone.) It sounds pretty real.
Hey man you want to sell this unit tell them Eddie van halen uses this alot micropitchshift, 5150, 84, fairwairing, the micropitchshift if you got to any studio the eventide 3000 or other will be on the patch!

Man, I have to agree with you! One of the wildest effects boxes released by Eventide and, Christ, "Springsteen" begins by showing the tuner?!?!?! As for the rest of the video, any cheap chorus or delay box could do any of this - obviously, for $500, this box and do way, way more - this demo is a total disaster.
He was showing the tuner to demonstrate its key recognition time which is very fast. Alot of units generate error glitches. Very rare with the Eventide signal structure.
It should work just fine in the effects loop of your amp. I currently have a boss ps-3 in my loop due to the delay function and the pitch function seems to work okay. However, when using other pedals on the direct line-in of my amp it gets a little shaky. I will probably sound best right after the guitar. Just my thoughts...
