Bam M. and Brandon met each other as kids through skating events that were happening on the east coast, most likely in the PA, MD area. Brandon was so extreme into skating he even had a full skating ramp made in his back yard (this is as a kid). I think that as time went by they kept in touch although Brandon had a heroin issue/drugs in general growing up. That is how he lost the opportunity to become part of the Tony Hawk tour.
