This is altogether a racist statement. While we all agree that the Nazi government was brutal, unhuman and criminal, we cannot put the same label on Germans as a nation.
The doctrine of the "collective guilt" of the Germans served the Allied politics after ww2.
Many Germans formed networks hiding dissidents and Jews in cellars. The Allied propaganda prohibited the writing on these after ww2.

i can truly appreciate his honesty and understand the profound turmoil he must have faced. at least you can see in him a conscience, heart and soul still in pain for the choices he had to make. one can only wonder if the germans had won would any of them would feel the same way he did....i doubt it.
