I saw this show in San Antonio. They have drastically changed the show since the last trainers death. No trainers were allowed to go in to the water with the Orcas.
I saw this, show was very cheesy, they asked people in the military to stand up so they could be saluted and then told some kid he was special or something.
Loved your video, we were there at roughly the same time as you. To see this show was one of the greatest highlights of my life! I can't wait to go back! :o)
u know i was educated about Orca's. and they go in fleets. belive it or not once Shamu's family was there. but they past away of old age. Sea World also gave shamu a big tank and is planning to resize it very soon

They flop over from spending time at the surface and they have no bone in their dorsal fins so it happens naturally. At least fifty percent of whales in new zealond have flopped over fins.

Many dolphin and whale shows incorporate circus tricks such
as trainers propelled into the air by an animals snout or animals
taking fish from a trainers mouth. The animals are presented as
clowns, and almost no effort is made to educate the audience
about their natural behavior. Naomi A. Rose-PhD-2009

'There is little to be learned by watching three-ton mammals in an oversized swimming
pool... there's a fine line between teaching people to value wildlife, and parading these
animals for witless amusement. There is a danger we will see more, not less,
exploitation of wildlife - an exploitation that is all the while touted as 'educational'!'
