This is why I think RTD paired Martha and Mickey up both of them have unrequited Mickey dated Rose but she ran off with The Doctor and Martha had a crush on The Doctor but he was to hung up over Rose.

Russell said he wanted to keep Smith and Jones, and Noel and Freema are friends, and I imagine like any man with a pair of eyes, and any woman with a pair of eyes Martha and Mickey noted how fit the other was, and they Had just saved the world together....don't think unrequited love had anything to do with it.

@klrbiker It's from Doctor Who, which you would have known if you'd bothered to read the first line of the description. Anyway, the only time these two were actually together on screen were briefly in ep 4x13 and 4x18 :)

This video is lovely. I just got into Dr Who, it took me less then two weeks to finish, and even though Mickey/Martha took me by surprise, I totally fell in love with them. They both kick ass, they've both saved the world and looked hot while doing it. Why wouldn't they get together? So wonderful video. It made me very happy. :)

Might I suggest a potential song? I don't know if you listen to country (most people I know don't), but Rascal Flatts' "Bless The Broken Road" works really well for Martha/Mickey, IMHO. I'm not a big fan of the Christian undertones (I'm not Christian), but everything else about the lyrics plays into the Mickey/Rose/Doctor and Martha/Doctor/Rose histories really well.

That is actually REALLY good song suggestion - I don't listen much to country but I am familiar with that song and I actually adore it quite a bit. The lyrics would definitely fit perfectly XD

Frankly Martha is the only grown-up woman on the show. She's not so needy that she fell apart becuase the skinny alien didn't want her-- went out and got hunky Tom instead. Bravo. But I'd like to see Noel and Freema together but not on Doctor Who. I hope Noel writes something so we can see them in a geniune love story, not as the Doctor's and Rose' cast off. The actors deserve better.

The pairing seems so sweet and they would be able to relate to eachother so well with all the experiances they've had.
