  • I'm not convinced the sound still is not real ...

  • wow you would pick a klon centaur to do this haha

  • How big is this? I mean, to see how much space left in the pedalboard is available...?

  • Comment removed

  • mike from friends is that you?

  • wow this fuzz sounds like shit !!!!

  • Any new DEMO's of this unit?

I want to buy one ASAP but would like to see more of it's functionality from a real guitar player like Andy. Something more than put your pedals here and use... Something that it's not explained in the TC website demoes either.

    Happy Holidays, Charles

  • AWESOME. I was just thinking. Fuzz Factory, Rat and G-System. And then I saw this vid. Thanks PGS!

  • Cool Strat... stock pickups or something different?

  • say, can this thing swich channels on your amp as well? or what about compatibility with an effects loop? might do this with my Fender Blues Deluxe....

o and btw- fuzzy goodness is always welcome in demos! :)

  • If John Deacon played guitar.... (well he does, but you get the idea!)

  • what sound different between g-system and g-major2 ? I know that G-major2 is all annolog , how about this G-system ?? digital or annolog ??? , And this have 5 loops , so we only can add more 5 stomebox like DIST / OD??

  • I bet Andy's pedalboard is HUGE lol. He plays a little bit over pretty much everything. I think the only thing I haven't heard is a harmonic or hungarian minor solo. That would be so cool lol.

  • $2000 guitar -> $1200 multieffect pedal -> $1000 overdrive pedal -> $1200 amp

christ in a zeppelin, you guys sure don't pander to the everyman

  • can the 4 loops be created in the G system also?

  • Love it when Andy kicks in the Centaur and the Rat together. Such a brilliant tone.

And Fuzz Factory is perfectly fine by me, and really it's like handling any fuzz. It's all about how you EQ it. Big Muffs don't really come alive until you start properly getting the amp into serious overdriven territory. Then from here, feel free to adjust it how you wish. I'd personally choose a fuzz over any distortion box any day. Fuzz has a little bit more character to it IMO. Hail the fuzz! :)

  • Man, when you kick in that Centaur at about three minutes, what a tone. . .

  • Thanks Andy! I've been waiting for some good videos on the g-system since I'm thinking of switching to this setup. It looks like you are you going directly into the front of the amp. Do you plan on showing a 4 cable method setup with the mod/delay effects in the amps loop with the dirt pedals out front? Theoretically you'd notice a tonal quality difference... do you?

  • i like fuzz pedals, just not the fuzz factory. im more of a fan of the old school fuzz that billy corgan uses

  • As I drool and wish to be able to afford one...

  • Fuzz is cool. Distortion is cool. Overdrive is cool. Yeah its pretty much all cool!

  • 5:02 then all hell breaks loose. love it.

  • Not a fan of the fuzz factory... Big muffs FTW

  • guess im the only one who like the fuzz factory...

  • Yeah sounds kinda thin, but nice!

  • It takes a real man to handle his Fuzz the way Andy does.

  • always loved the rat pedals,If you got one you should show it off in Andys corner or the scoop .

  • I'm traditionally against digital multieffects floor units for guitar, but this one really seems to do it right. I was always finding that they didn't integrate with pedals well. TC has done a great job here however of bringing their rack effects into pedalboard owner's hands.

  • The sound with the RAT sounds very Gilmourish. Nice!

  • @tolchok89

I thought the same. One switch, then instant Gilmour! :D

  • what kind of cables dose pgs use?

  • @GuernB2 Core X2

  • The Fuzz Factory freaks out if it receives a buffered signal, and generally if it doesn't "see" your pickups immediately after them. It sounds a bit uncomfortable in that loop.

  • How does the TC handle with amp with no effect loops? is there a big difference running it not into a effects loops? My Anderson amps don't have them and I run my Rockbox and Analogman just like the old school way.

  • @thekid377 - Our Fender DRRi doesn't have an effects loop either. Everything we do goes in front. Thanks!

  • The compression is killer on the G System. Adding some to any of those pedals will make them sing with sustain.

  • Man, that's one sweet-ass Strat!

  • 2:30 reminded me of one of those shred videos

  • centaur and rat sounded cool

  • Good practical explanation. I think putting each pedal is a diff preset is the icing on the cake!

  • can you do another demo of the G-System using a Les Paul? I personally like the fatter and richer sound from the LP! lol cool vid, though!! :-)

  • I don't like the fuzz factory at all. Not just in this demo. EVER. There's more noise in it than quality sounds.

  • @Guitarisforgrins - You're clearly an Anti-Fuzzite. PGS will not tolerate that sort of prejudiced tonal bigotry. We bid you good day, sir : )

    -PGS Crew

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos hahaha!!! You guys are funny.

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos No No, I dig fuzz and use it all the time. I just don't like that specific one. To each their own, that's just my take.

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos

    It's just Fuzzist!

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos good shout!

  • I build fuzz pedals for a living and I dislike the fuzz factory also...its great for messing around with noises in your room or something but its hard to get a great fuzz sound out of it in my opinion.

  • @311allmixedup - The owner's manual (also on ZVex's site) shows you where to put the knobs for the classic Germanium fuzz tones. It ain't that hard, and it sounds mighty fine in our opinion.

    -PGS

  • @Guitarisforgrins And some people love it for the very same reasons. Glorious noise instead of normal, boring sounds. So different strokes for different folks.

  • @Guitarisforgrins FUZZ FACTORY = SUICIDAL TENDENCIES.

  • possibly the most useless piece of metal on guitargearland

  • Can't say I'm a fan of that fuzz factory..

  • it sounds very digital but very kool

  • I dunno... I like some digital gear, but never been a fan of all in one boxes. I'd rather pay 1,000 bucks on 3-4 pedals that each do 1 thing REALLY well, than on one pedal that does hundreds of things. It's the same principle I apply to recording... I'd rather pay 1,000 dollars for a really nice mic pre instead of 1,000 for an OK 8 channel mic pre.

  • Can I channel switch with EVH III? (3 channel)

The EVH III footswitch uses a midi cable not a 1/4 jack.

  • @machinegunguitar

Sure you can ! I switch my Mesa Boogie Roadster with it (4 channel).

  • @raconei Do you use your midi footswitch or the 1/4 ext switch?

If you use your midi cable where do yo plug it in? Thank for the reply. This helps me.

  • @machinegunguitar

Well I use 2 1/2 cables which run into the channel selection system of the Mesa.

But you have 2 Midi plugs into the G-System, so you can select your channel by midi. ;)

  • The centaur+rat is an awesome lead tone

  • @ChrisSchoonover1

Agreed! Seems to be a really cool combo!

And it's good to see the G-System get some more recognition. It's such a great unit, absolutely.

  • cool pedal but i dont see much practical gig use from what your showing us

  • @sweetness11313 All he's showing you (so far) are the external loops. Most users put their dirt boxes there b/c there's no distortion in the G-syst. G-systems are made for live gigs. You can set up every tune you do as a preset and bang them 1,2,3,4 etc. Go to their site- check out the manual... there are lots of other vids around too. If you are OK with the delay and mod sounds.. it's the perfect live controller. Also - guts come out from under and you can use those in your rack.

  • Is it just me or does that sound like crap?

  • @RONDOC68 just to you ;-)

  • @RONDOC68

I think you're right--sounds much worse than any other gear demos

  • why dont you just turn the pedal on

  • seems like a lot of unnecessary digital nonsense

  • I thought you had forgotten to turn up the sound on your guitar when you started playing at 2:16.

  • @elsrocks Same :)

  • 4:05 Buttons are Dancing and Pressing Themselves Ghostly Without Anyone Stompinh/Stepping On Them :o

  • @DrEviscerator666 You're joking right? There is another set of switches below that control what is turning off/on above.

  • Nice playing. I've always loved your style Andy! Whens the next Scoop?

  • that thing is so cool!

  • this multi processor has some awsome presets !

  • Man that red design is so sexy

  • want so bad but just a few bucks out of my price range

  • It's excellent

  • it sounds a little thin with all of them engaged.

  • @jakeparshall That's just the Fuzz Factory compressing...overloading!
