I like actors who sing but he isn't the greatest singer (huge understatement perhaps!) and if I can't listen to his voice, it detracts from the acting in my eyes- I'm not watching it because I'm too busy cringing at his voice!
What did he do to 'my blue eyed sarah, warm Joanne, sweet Jenny, loving Susan, crazy Amy?' That's my favourite bit of this song and he ruined it. :(
"Have I got a Girl for you" was wonderful. Someone is waiting was... very well enunciated - it's the only production I've listened to where I can hear every word. But it's not very musicial.
are you serious?? he was amazing-the best yet. ACTING THROUGH SONG (the sondheim way)...well directed as opposed to those musicals that just show the 'hey listen to my voice' BTW- he won Laurence Olivier Award for his performance in this.
I BELIEVE his character as opposed to the old 'wow listen to his voice'...sorry but that'sjust pointles- in my opinion.
Yeah, and he can sing---but it's the fact that they all are trying to do New York accents and it just doesn't work. It's annoying. You can tell the guy has a great voice, but definitely not when he's trying to hide his British accent. it's awkward. And even though I prefer Esparza, this guy is great.
I love you for saying this. An actor who sings is MUCH more rewarding to see than some singer who riffs their way through a song and semi-acts it because they're too worried about sounding good to the audience. Adrian's voice may be harsh at times, but he sure put on a hell of a performance. He's my close second favorite Bobby after Esparza.

I'm not impressed with Bobby, but in all fairness I quite enjoyed "Have I Got a Girl For You". Thanks.
