  • How the Swedish people all know, that there is no nuke contamination

    only by seeing.

They all have Geiger counter and gamma measurement stations in their eyes.

How backward is a worldview in which there is only a choice between coal

and nuclear ? Is that from the Ptolemaic era?

  • I don't think the hippies and rebels get that we'll have to devolve into "tribal stage" if we stop using fossil fuels and nuclear power plants.

  • All dumbshits, it IS good for the environment, well, it's better then fossil fuels. Soon we're going to be fully nuclear, producing electricity. As yes, fully electric cars. The future.

  • I wish people would stop worry about this crap, it's hardly dangerous.

  • Coal YUCK!

    Kills over 10,000 a year...

  • Before I start, i want to say that i am ally of nuclear energy. People are so hesitant of nuclear energy because when a person hears somebody say "nuclear" they automatically think of cherynubal. Nuclear energy is the best! Its just not mainstream yeat.

  • How about you get some valid arguments before you rabbit on about how good you think it is.

  • Its not what I think, its what I know. My father has been a utility worker for more than 30 years so I know alot about electricity, so if you have anything to say say it. Do you want me to e mail you a paper I wrote?

  • @RWoodthorpe Do you think that is there any safe storage for spent fuel rods?

  • @tooldrums1000 Yes.

    Obviously.

    Just stop denying it.

    Waste is safe.

Don't fall for cheap Green lies and propaganda.

  • @MarsMoonEuropa

    Go to Fukushima.

Visiting the graves of leukemia deaths in the Elbe marshes.

There are all the same promises. What have

the people in them now that they Fukushima these promises

have believed. They are homeless and at risk cancer.

  • @Salse7rito @Salse7rito Don't be so paranoid. There is no evidence the Krümmel Nuclear Power Plant caused those deaths.

These things happen. 'Elevated levels of Leukaemia' can be causes by many things including viruses.

  • @Salse7rito Maybe you should go to Sendai. And see all the homeless in Japan. Stop being so hypocritical about a Nuclear Disaster in the face of the deaths of tens of thousands. Shame on you. No one died and no ones getting sick and thats all you care about. Have you no compassion?

Did you know there is talk of making Fukushima the capital of Japan? Take that - a few months and the event will be forgotten.

But the earthquake won't be. Nuclear is the future.

  • nuclear is awesome look at stars in the universe they work on nuclear fusion or something, its great=D

  • Yeah, the US government got cot using nuclear waste to make anti-tank bullets for guns. Yaaaaaay.

  • Nuclear is best. Just use the radioactive waste in bullets.

  • lol...bullets..um.. very interesting but didnt we get in twabble for making anti-tank shells or something?? so...good luck with that X[)

  • You must understand that the US is currently (for noe, anyway) the most powerful country. What it wants it gets. The government knows it doesnt have to respect there treaties. They do what they want. Nuclear is the best source of power. It will be for a long time. Solar and wind are not that good. Wind doesnt even work.

  • they don;t use radioactive waste in bullets. They use Uranium 238 (not radioactive isotope). It is used because it is extremely heavy and dense which increases the bullets ability to pierce armor.

    Peace my brother.

  • @daobagua They actually use Depleted Uranium, U 238 IS radioactive, it is an alpha emitter with an extremely long half life, and the radioactivity emitted from it is minimal. That said, it's also a heavy metal, and causes heavy metal toxicity if absorbed into the body. Depleted Uranium is post processed uranium that has had the uranium 235 isotope extracted from it, leaving primarily U238. Uranium 235 is a thermal fuel, and is perfect for power generation and weapons use.

  • @daobagua

coal plants produce fly ash which is verrry toxic it even has radioactive material in it.

if your life was 100 percent powered by atomic energy, you would produce the same amount of material that would fill an area the size of a pop can,vs 70 tons of radioactive coal fly ash.

    that's per person.

thorium is better,as its harmless for only a 100 years...without prepossessing it.

you could also use thorium and uranium waste in fast breeder reactors as fuel,

  • I like the idea but the soliders will get contaiminated and also thats like giving radioactive elements to terrorists. Putting it right in their hands.

  • Since the Baltic sea is not warm enough, we will work on making it warm enough for porpoises to live here all year around.

  • yep..nuclear energy is the best solution to product energy
