@pghg022 I don't think they've written anything good since Bon Scott died. His lyrics and his voice really said something. To this day, mention AC/DC, what will people think of? Highway to Hell? Whole Lotta Rosie? etc etc.
@adamkincaid1234 agree, i do like a lot of bons songs but i like brians songs too, and they writen a lot of good albums like ballbreaker and stiffer upper lip, and ofcource there a lot of bad albums like blow up your video and fly on the wall
I saw this in the theater around Christmas of '81. The movie traveled with what was called the "Wall of Sound". In the theater they put a good sized cabinet speaker in front of the screen and just blasted the music. It was great.
Angus and Bon were like Plant and Page. They both had there own persona on stage, and never seemed to fight about who was the star of the band. Its too bad Van Halen and Dave didn't share that concept.
4:30 WHOA I read an AC/DC book claiming the audio and video are out-of-synch at times, watch the drummer and he is out of synch, but my VHS video is not out of synch!!! I may need to watch again! my vhs of course
This played at the King Cinema in Seattle in 1980. The film ran for a week (or 2) and sold out every show! They even stacked extra speakers on either sides of the screen for that "concert sound".
Can't wait till Jan 2010, when a remastered version of this is finally released on DVD. I wore out 3 of the old VHS tapes since I was a kid. One of the greatest gigs of all time bar none!
this concert was 1980 im pretty sure it was his last concert b4 they went in to record there new album but then bon scott died so im pretty sure this was his last concert so its a must see
saw this movie when it came out in '79. senior in high school and there kids dressed like angus in line. promoter promised 50k watt system and he was right! crowds broke through the entrance to get in the theater. an era that will never be captured again. glad i lived through it. R.I.P. BON.
I own the bonfire box set, and I think they wasted a disc. Disc 5 is a remastered Back in Black, but everybody and their mother owns that album. Discs 2 and 3 is the concert, and they should've put the movie, too. Complete waste of a disc.
Don't count on it, because the original master tapes are gone, lost. Listen to angus and malcolm on the live at donington dvd, with the album revieuws.
Such a shame, this would have been a great dvd. :(
When he was a kid he got a bad burn or cut and it left a scar that's really sensitive. If he doesn't wear wrist bands or leather things that cover the skin around his wrist, his bass string wear off the skin and it's painful. That's why he tapes up his pinky too, for the same reason.
What the fuck is your idea of a good time. this is good stuff. seeing the band as they really are. you obviously dont care about the whole picture of this video.
Bon Scott was a fucking natural! So incredible to watch-

I hope they do something about the non-existent backing vocals on the DVD.

the secret to AC/DC`s success is that they are aussie: they never took themselves too seriously and never thought their shit doesnt stink.
