It's tough to work with mixed hair in general because there is no "general" texture. Some mixed people have hair texture that's more course and others have very fine hair and of course everything in between. I still like to mix and match different products to get what works for me.

The black section's always tiny in comparison to the "normal" or "everyone else" section. Chain stores do treat it like Black hair and Normal hair instead of just hair. One could just as easily nitpick over her saying "urban" when not all black folks live in the city.

I swear to god people don't comprehend lol. You can use the product if you have that type of hair. You don't have to be mixed exactly White and Black there are so many mixes out that that have super curly hair and people who aren't mixed as much as half, but still have that type of hair. I'm black and only a 1/4 Native American and my hair is super curly.

If you have that type of hair use the product regardless of what ethnicity you are.

the leave in works on many types of hair. it is not a relaxer but will tame frizz. the deep is good as a detangler for loos or tight or very tight curls.

That has been my experience....having a black mother was awsome, the fact that my sister and I had ''mixed'' hair was not a problem. if you apply the deep conditioner by mixed chicks to "kinkier" hair while wet, then do a bunch of twists... you can let it dry that way and when you unravel the twists you will get a great look.

a lot of mixed chicks customers with tighter curls...4a/b/c like to apply our leave-in, then put in a bunch of twists. then, after the hair (twists) have dried, usually the next day, unravel the twists and you get a cool look. more twists = more curls. experiment with it.

if you follow the directions, you will get good results. sometimes, if your hair is too straight or too coarse, it may get wild, but even on "kinky" hair, mixed chicks deep conditioner does really well. basic directions for mixed chicks: 1. shampoo, 2. deep condition, 3. apply leave in to wet hair and air dry (no towel), and don't mess with it during the drying process too much... and if you must blow dry, use a diffuser. good luck

My mother was mixed with black, french, indian, white, and spanish. My father was black and I have curly/wavy hair. I have gotten relaxers only because it was easier to manage. I would get the relaxer and not go again for a year or two. I would just put my hair in a ponytail and go. I am getting older now so I should really start looking my age. I didn't know how to take care of my hair. It was soft and fine growing from my hair follicles and could get dry by me putting perms and curling irons on it. i have used mixed chicks leave in conditioner, and my crls are absolutly beatiful. I coouldnt beleive how defined they were. i absolutly love this product. My only thing that I dont really like is that my hair drys a bit crunchy. I think its because I have so much hair that when I break my hair in sections, one side drys qicker than the other. But I noticed how wendy kept her hair completely wet to the point its dripping still. I am going to try it this way now. Other than that I LOVE IT!
