Hot video, we jamming to it! Luv the vocal notes! Very clever idea's for this video, u workin' that 1spot in ur house/apt.!!!!! Keep it up! R u looking for a recording /artist deal?
There is nothing I don't love about this song- musically, lyrically... I've got some friends going "through it" right now... and I've shared this with all of them. Thanks so much.
Only complaint its not longer. I've woken up with this song stuck in my head for the past couple days. Cant get anything done until I listen to it a few times
I leave your videos ALWAYS feeling super inspired. Thank you!! :) Quick question tho- what sort of editing software/equipment would you recommend to someone who wants to start making little music video/"videosongs" such as the way you do? I'm always looking foward to your newest tracks!!
@syamsyam1234 Thank you! I record with Garage Band, which is very easy. On this series of songs, I've been using the internal mic built into my laptop, but you could get a USB microphone for pretty cheap. Louis and I use a Snowball mic mostly. A USB Midi keyboard's good to use too. I use the internal camera + a digital camera, then import the footage into iMovie. For video editing I highly recommend Final Cut because of how flexible it is. Plus it's easy and fun to use once you learn it. : ^ ]
@GenevieveArtadi Awesome! Thank you so much, this really is helpful!! Yeah, I keep hearing that Final Cut is the new standard for video editing. Do you recommend Express or Pro? I’m wondering if I really have to save $1200+ bucks for editing software. :/ Ah, the woes of being a broke musician.... Anywho, thanks again! -jess
@syamsyam1234 I use Pro [on Louis's computer] which has tons of filters. I'm not familiar with the limitations of Express, but I bet it's capable of a lot of stuff. If it doesn't have enough filters you could tweak the look of your shots in iMovie, then export the videos into Quicktime movies, then edit in Final Cut.
@sharp11girl yes all a cappella. i wanted to make an entire album/collection of lo-fi a cappella but i couldn't resist at least clapping and some midi stuff. as far as "outside-of-the-box," it's probably like "do-what-i-can" beating : ^ ]
Really soft and sexy, nice song!

With your harmonies and everything you remind me of Dirty Projectors. Needless to say, I love this stuff and you are a fantastic person.

Very cool. Basically a cappella, right? Sounds like beatboxing...or maybe "outside-of-the-box" beating? ;)
