  • @ashleyjr10 no you don't then it isn't a push up. it's kinda like when you do regular push ups ur not supposed to touch your stomach to the floor

  • @TalesIncs - In gymnastics we need FLEXIBLE muscles, not loosen muscles, that is completely different.

    No study has proved that stretching before exercising prevents from injuries. My gymnasts never stretch before training, they don't get more injuries.

    Worse : all studies proved that long stretches (more than 10 sec) before exercising decrease the sport performance. So stretch AFTER training, not before.

  • Could you explain me why you ask to stretch wrists and shoulders before doing a handstand ? What do you think is going to happen if you don't ? Are they going to explode ?!!

    For your information, this is completely pointless and useless : if you want to prepare your joints to gymnastics (so they absorb chocks and pressure), you have to put pressure on them progressively, not stretch them.

    Stretching is to do AFTER training or between trainings, NOT BEFORE training.

    Well in that case search for "planche pushups" or "90 degree pushups"...... that wil blow your mind! ;)

  • it helps at first to stay up longer when you don't have the technique down, but no, you don't. you can even see in the video the girl has pretty average wimpy girl arms lol

  • being strong doesnt mean you have big bulky muscles.

    Doing lots and lots of small weights gives you small but strong muscles where as doing only a few big weights that you struggle with will give you bulky but weak muscles.

    You dont know how strong she is.

    Yes it helps if you have bulky muslces but id say shes stronger then the average girl
