great job by the "pirate" boarder! The owner must be a moron...how the hell did he run the throttle up that high, but fall overboard? He had to step away from the helm, throttled up in tight quarters!? Stupid drivers on the road, so I guess it's possible.

Well, 1st mistake: you don't need full reverse to get out of the slip. Even with a powerboat, all you need is just enough to start backing out and maintain control. Do you know if he hit the throttle when he fell?

That has hapend to my motor boat but i just kiled the motor and everything worked out fine. This hapend when I had a speed of abouth 35 knots. So i had to kill the motor as fast as possible.

Wow...I seen something similar but with a car,in reverse and the lady freaked out and jumped out of the automobile while in reverse and an accelerator pedal stuck to the floor.Only curb rashes resulted in this incident...

Yes - It was the guy standing on the bow of the other boat who fell overboard. The boat spun 4 times before the guys in the dingy managed to get onboard :-)
