@imranbecks I should have added an in my honest opinion. I have just never liked how they fit, I've always preferred other brands. I've also never been a fan of Lance Armstrong, he was a great rider, but he is no champion like Alberto Contador. I think with bicycles most of the time it's personal preference. Especially when you start getting towards the high end of the spectrum. I used to ride Schwinn before they were bought out now I'm pretty much a Giant fanboy.
@zapanaphogus The Trek bikes fit me well however.. Just can't afford the higher end ones at the moment.. For the record, the cast did ride the Schwinn S10 in the first season before using the Trek Y33 from season 2 onwards..
@zapanaphogus Trek sucked? Thats the first I've heard of someone saying that. It doesn't. Its very reputable, also think back to the good days of Lance Armstrong at his peak, what bike did he ride when he won those championships? I ride a Trek myself thanks to the show and the frame is really strong. Even the frame (and me) survived an accident with it.. The only thing that didn't survive was the rims. My current Trek bike has been serving me for over 5 yrs now and still counting.
For some reason I really want to buy a GT bicycle now.

@zapanaphogus ... contador has 6 grand tour GC wins. armstrong has seven. explain to me why contador rather than armstrong is a "champion"?

@discount11 because most sound effects are done post-production, clearly who ever the foley artist was failed miserably.
@Aubeastmaster GT was actually a very reputable company around the time this was made. Trek however has always sucked.

@discount11 Because it's a GT and/or Trek?

@discount11 guess they took normal road bikes and recorded the sound pretty near, and then added the sound whilst editing. ;)
