Three Himalaya glaciers have been shrinking over the last 40 years due to global warming and two of them, located in humid regions and on lower altitudes in central and east Nepal, may disappear in time to come, researchers in Japan said on Tuesday.

Warming air from climate change isn't the only thing that will speed ice melting near the poles - so will the warming water beneath the ice, a new study points out.
Increased melting of ice in Greenland and parts of Antarctica has been reported as a consequence of global warming, potentially raising sea levels.
But little attention has been paid to the impact of warmer water beneath the ice (AP July 3, 2011).
Like all polarized issues, there doesn't seem to be any middle ground. So what if there is GW? If it wasn't warming it would be global cooling, so either way we are being manipulated. Controlled to accept new laws, increasing taxes, and loss of our traditional freedoms out of fear.
When the real fear should be the cause, which is on-going population increase. Which would not be a problem if the nature of pop increase was not always geometric. All the recycling, conservation, wont help...now.
It now looks like the exact opposite of global warming is about to occur. Is it not ironic that nature has stepped in to show humans who is boss. I look forward with amusement to the Planet cooling due to the Grand Solar Minimum.

What little temperature rise that happened in the late '90s, and were caused by human CO2, came solely because this one guy flew around the world in a jet plane.

Like all polarized issues, there doesn't seem to be any middle ground. So what if there is GW? If it wasn't warming it would be global cooling, so either way we are being manipulated. Controlled to accept new laws, increasing taxes, and loss of our traditional freedoms out of fear.
