  • PLZ remember to support new Bill C-322. Horses can be re-used for other puposes, not Recycled or for meat. Toxic meat! No thank-you. These horses are not all checked by CFIA, theres way to many of them going to cruel slaughter. A medication as BUTE can cause cancer and death. So think twice before eating your buddies. BAN Horse-Slaughter in Canada and around the world.

  • All horses with a little bit of effort and work can be recovered.

If a horse is to be put out of its misery then humane euthanasia at home is the way to go. Slaughter is by no means humane euthanasia. No way, no how.

Horse meat, where it is eaten, is very expensive, more than beef so starving families couldn't afford it.

  • I under stand your view that horse are a companion animal but there are those horses that cant be broke or that are to old and about to die or injured and cant be cared for so if a person cant take care of them isnt better for the owner and the horse to put the horse out of its misure and feed a starving family some where.

  • canada a nation of murderers!!!! burn in hell you people who sit by and do nothing while these horses are murdered!!!

  • @normalguyable please, don't judge all us canadians. we are as sickened about it as you are.

  • @normalguyable im canadian i agree with you

  • This women is so brave and strong. And i,m so happy this was filmed. X-owners, dumping off their pets, washing their hands and running, away, from it all. How evil, can you get.

  • The only question is WHY would hey take the lives of innocent animals? This is just... Just... Painful(beautiful)

  • I pray that I will live to see a world without horse slaughter. this video really touched my heart.

  • i wish the horses were never killed but all the ones that are being killed now run free in heaven the got what they wanted to run free and i always rember when you ride a horse u dont own it your only baroing it my heart goes out to all the horses killed or going to be

  • Heartbreaking, thats all I can say, just heartbreaking.

  • I cried.....simply put.

  • horses are so abused ;(

  • The nobility of God's horses is reflected in the dignity of your touching memorial for them. That solemn music speaks volumes about the Soul of His holy horses. Bless you, Twyla, and all those who sent cards and flowers and prayers to the ceremony, as well as bravely, unashamedly attended it.

  • Thank you ladies and gents for risking your lives to give those poor souls the recognition they deserve. Sad to think that those beautiful cards and poems are probably the most kindness those horses had in their lives, brutally cut short by a captive bolt gun. Please spread the word. And, if you get a chance, take a look at our rescue group's videos and leave your comments. We too speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. In perfect love and peace, Run free.

  • Twyla, thank you so very much. How incredibly moving & thoughtful!! Perhaps the day will come when slaughter proponents become aware...we can hope!! Lisa - equine vet

  • Haunting but so beautiful a memorial and tribute to all those poor souls. It will end! Horse slaughter. Thank you for your unswerving dedication and PASSION for the horses.

We are their voice and pen.

  • Dear Twyla. Thankyou again for all you do for horses. This is a haunting video. The overcast sky, strong wind, beautiful tributes, and foreboding tractor in the background. I wish I could have been there with you. I wish I could have witnessed the beauty and kindness of all those tributes is such a brutal, ugly place.

They may not have lasted but they were there, and the people who made them are here and we aren't going to stop.

BTY I'm very glad you're all ok. Pressing charges??

  • All the prayers, letters, poems, pictures that were given and placed there by you has blessed the place where the remains of the horses rest. But the horses are not there any more. They are close to us and their spirits give us the strength to fight on, to end slaughter. God bless the horses.

  • Very nice. Very well done. Moving and touching and I commend and thank you for it.

  • I was moved to tears by all your efforts to give those poor souls a memorial and the love that should've kept them safe in life. How awful that those heartless workers at that plant harrassed you for your kindness to the horses. I truly don't understand how people can be so awful to each other and especially to such beauty as the horse.

  • I believe those of us with love in our hearts will never understand how someone can treat the innocent with such disregard and disrespect. It is beyond comprehension how people can slaughter horses. An animal so gracious, giving, noble and courageous. It defies reason. It is a sickness and those of us who care must try to do what we can to turn the tides. The horses need us.

  • This is a beautiful example of mankinds goodness. A tribute to people trying to right a wrong and to memorialize this place so that we will never forget what took place here.

  • Dearest Twyla,God bless you. What a wonderful thing to do. Thank you for all of your efforts on behalf of horses. Love and good will win over evil but the fight must go on. We are glad you are safe, much love. Kathryn

  • Thank-you for personally delivering our messages of love to our beloved horses!! "PAY IT FORWARD" Is it unimageable that it was the spirits of all you have cried for and helped that kept you safe from harm! I believe it is the horses way of thanking you. We all thank-you and the fight must go on!!!

  • Beautiful, bring the tissues, thank you.

  • Thank you Twyla for this beautiful tribute to the horses.

Thank you for all of the hard work you do for the horses.

I was with you there in spirit.

  • Yes, thank you for this very moving memorial to the THOUSANDS of innocent horses slaughered by "Natural" Valley Farms. Thank you for remembering the horses. We shall never forget them.

  • Thank you so much for this very powerful and well formed memorial display Twyla. I'd have liked to have been there to cry with all that had been there. Our hearts here in TX. know exactly what you went through to see that NVF was closed, and the slaughter ended there! One day it'll happen all over. I hope in my lifetime. Good Luck with your fight in Canada and know we continue on in our fight here in the U.S.

    Thank You! lj
