Actually legalizing the drugs would decrease the numbers of people who use bad drugs, anyway, because some coke addicts do coke instead of the much safer, yet still illegal, Marijuana, because it gets out of your system faster. But if it were legal, drug tests would not be a problem for the Marijuana smoker. Also, taking the drugs away from dealers' hands might stop people from being pushed into doing drugs that they didn't originally want to.

Meth and coke are not opiates, and opium its self is a wounderfull drug no worse than pot, however I agree that the strong opiates should not be legalized as well as other hard drugs like crack, meth,pcp, extacy etc.

Lesser drugs like pot and opium are perfectly safe and no worse than alchohol and tobacco. Alcohol has killed more people the world over than any other substance. The war on drugs is useless and only a waist of our money, wilst the government and cartells, only gain money.

Heroin in fact is not nearly as adictive as your led to beleive. Most hard addicts did it (rarely), for a year or more before getting severly addicted. And pot is a joke its probably the least harmless substance out there.

The point is that the war on drugs is a big waist of time money and prison space. if pot was legalized the gov could get america outta debt in three years easy.
