Im a firm believer in body hardening i have been doing martial arts for 22 years and im also a competing mixed martial artist one of the styles i do is Muay Thai and I always end my training sessions with body hardening ie taking kicks to the legs and gut and punches also to these areas. It is benificial i also condition my shins by kicking and punching trees. Its called cordial remodeling its does change your muscles and bones and makes them denser and tougher. so yea skip4633 it does work.

The more punishment ur body takes the stronger those bones and muscles become. Ever heard of shaolin monks they get kicked in the balls repeatedly and it was on sports science one guy took a kick that generated 1000lbs of force n he didnt even drop. Think b4 u speak man. Roy Jones doesnt believe in taking punishment but dats cuz hes so fast

I can tell you that.......This routine will assist participants in understanding their bodies reaction to abdominal impactand also allow them to improve the capability of their abdominal muscles to statically contract This is a tried and tested method and most boxing gyms use this exact technique so maybe u should take ur know it all attiude and go and do sum laps.

if u want to get used to taking blows to the mid section, get some lads from the club to practice body shots on u. that wat u get used to the feeling of the pain in that area. that way when it comes to fighting it will not be a big shock. "omg hats much worse than being hit by a medicine ball"
Copping punches is def the best way but this vid is for beginners remember.Alot of people are scared to take one when they start so its a pretty good way to ease into it i spose.
if u take a load of blows to the stomach and sides without trying to slow them down at all, ur very liable to get knocked in the liver and killing yourself.
if u really want to improve taken shots, spar with people from the club. dont use the medicine ball technique. if ur instructor doesnt allow u, get mates to put gloves on and just hit u in the mid section. gradually get harder and harder. eventually, matybe a few weeks, they will be hitting as hard as they can and the pain rating will gradually decrease.
