  • In 1949 at age 5 I heard this played over the PA in a cinema. I had a very musical mind and was already impressing others with my singing. I was living in a Childrens Home, in a very stressful and saddening environment.

On that day THIS MUSIC literally lifted my spirits to the sky and made me feel like dancing for the joy of the music itself. It spawned within me that JOY and PIZZICATO mean one and the same thing!

I include pizzicato in much of my own music now. Thanks Johann......R.I.P.

  • Bravo!

  • I have to play this in my region orchestra...It's such a pain :c

  • @BenjiBarkerIsNomore Hi, dear ! I think it is a fun ! Isn´t it ?

  • @Peter1945 Hmm I think it will be fun once I can play it correctly with the orchestra, haha. But practicing the song by myself is proving difficult.

  • so simple and so beautiful.... I'm dying to play it!!

  • I liked 0:00 - 3:06

    :)

  • I love this orchestra. There women are underrated.

  • Bravoooo, Maravilloso el Pizzicato.

    Felicidades y gracias.

  • Wonderful ! Love the delicate sensual touch in this version.

I like it too when the very last note is played strongly with the bow (?) after a slightly longer silence, which renders such a dynamic release after the previous retained minutes.

  • Well played, sounds very good. Fantastic discipline. Hats off to the Ladies!

  • I saw this live by the Prague Music Chamber Orchestra New Years Day 2010 - first time I heard it and this recording has the same sense of fun and joy! Great stuff, thanks for posting

  • Es fantástico!!!!

  • What I love about this piece of music is it has a silliness and sense of joy. Izabella nurtures that. So often I have watched an abjectly miserable bunch try to imbue life into it. This is light, frothy fun and delightful

  • i love this song!!! it is so cute, and spritely-sounding :D makes me happy!

this is the first time i've ever seen an orchestra conducted by a woman!

    go Izabella go!

  • super !!!

  • hey i dance to this...lol for ballet

  • Love her beating technique. Very precise and plastic! (she looks like Octavian in Der Rosenkavalier.)

  • Thanks for the compliment! She is it !!

  • aie les doigts!!

  • This is great!!!!!!!!
