if you look at the unicorn hoof, Normally it would be touching the circle beneath with the dragon in it, also the dragon usually has chains to the circle, this has now changed. the chains are gone and the hoof is off. meaning the dragon is loose and allowed to be released by the unicorn ?? !!

This interpetation of the coat of arms is interesting to say the least, not correct but interesting.

The Lion on the left of the Heraldic device represents the Lion of Judah, and the religion of God, while the Unicorn on the right is an old symbol representing Jesus.

The Unicorns horn is supposed to be a sword, The horn is a symbolic sword, and is supposed to symolise the faith that smites false religion and the might of Jesus word.

They are very much Christian/Abrahamic symbols.

@philnottinghill I know your question regarding the coat of arms is a year old, but I hope this answers your question. The coat of Arms is a Royal one and all UK legal proceedings can only be done with Royal charter or permission because the Queen is head of UK Government. To show that permission/charter has been given (so making it legal) a coat of arms must be shown, illegal displays are prosecuted heavily, it is an old 'fit for use' badge. Its just a Government/royal legal approval seal.
