i remember that tackle and feeling physically sick watchin it. definitely in my top 11 utd. players of all time, a sturdy and strong fullback who also possessed flair going forward. i remember how good he was at set pieces too.

Irwin loved scoring against his old club Oldham. He got 2 at Boundary Park in 1991 also in a 6-3 game. Cheeky bastard Denis! :-)
