While this is very cool there is nothing efficient about it. Anyone that has had first year physics will tell you that. This has 6 legs requiring energy input to move a distance that two legs could have moved using less energy. If you actually look at the amount of force used to move a given distance you will understand how inherently inefficient this design is compared to any number of designs already in existence. Again, I think it's very cool looking, just the title is completely wrong.
Yep, completely from scratch. For the materials I started with 3 sheets of 1/4 polycarbonate, and 2 stainless steel rods. The design is also completely original: the legs and configuration have never been used before.

Thats a really cool design, people may be right to say impractical, but genius often is. Great stuff!

This is cool -better go patent this stuff

Looks energy efficient. A lot of mental stress though.

Put a crank or something on that baby. I want to see this running smooth so I can stare at it for hours

They invented something more efficient, they call it the wheel.

@JacksonWarrior3 fuck you!!!! its obviously that your are not engineer, you have no idea how much time, effort and mind demands a job like this.

it does not appear to be designed with imperfect ground in mind.

I think you should add an electrical motor to your contraption so that it can move on its own.
