This is not what IMS has now. This is an Old Old Old model. The new model is SUPER. Check it out here. youtube.com/watch?v=tsyPa9AqHz4&list=UUStQzogor-g3CgCYYzD84KQ&feature=plcp - From the IMS site...
I have had this one for 2 years and I have only had to change the tank(dropped a log on it) .Thye sent me one out the same day called them.I probably have split 200+ cords with it. It looks like hell now but works prfectly. My only advice"dont let your neighbor borrow"
@b0bthekillar The one I had sure wasn't a Briggs, it wasn't a Honda, it was a no name Made in China motor that seized in one day. The Hydraulic pump name plate has been ground down so there's no identification.
LOL....you talk about political freedom while censoring comments you don't like. That is so amazingly ignorant, un-American and devoid of understanding of American values as I can imagine. Moving along: "making things in China is good for America" is so patently lacking in a basic understanding of economics that it stunned me. American manufacturing jobs, being done by near slave labor, is good for America. Absolutely staggering. Cheap goods lead to wage death. Going to censor this as well?
Thanks for your comment. as far as being Chinese made, most of these units are Chinese-made. Sourcing our products in China helps us to help our customer stretch their dollar, in challenging times, and hopefully spend more in the US, thus helping to stimulate the US economy.
It also helps to spread economic independence amongst the Chinese workers which should result in greater political freedom as they seek new avenues and markets in which to spend their money.
excellent! how long have you had it? prices look good, blowing the "it's gotta be made in china to be affordable" nonsense out of the water. I've got a 20+ yr old sears 5hp...probably 20 ton. Only two things I don't like: horizontal only and no auto-return valve. After this season, I may spring for the $80 and put one on.
Ive had it almost 2 years now , its a breve 26 ton ,but in my hydraulics chart with everything it has its rated a little over 30 tons ! The thing is unstoppable ! It has a 16 gal/min pump,4.5" ram, horizontal /vertical, auto return valve, briggs vanguard engine at 9 hp !! I bought it for 1400$ with it assembled and full of hyd oil and a full tank of gas !! Plus it has a 2 year warranty !! The company also makes "iron and oak splitters" and "pro split splitters" @ yes spend the 80$ its worth it!
Jerry, thanks for your comment. Please call Paul at IMS in Rockland, MA: 1-800-266-1291. He's the company owner and can answer all of your questions. The cost is $1,299 and we can ship anywhere in the USA (shipping is extra).
Thanks for stopping by and for your feedback -- I've updated our description based on your comment.
Jerry asked the question before we'd included that info in the video description. It was our fault and his comment was helpful to us to better the experience here.
I have to ask you not to attack other users here. Please keep the discourse civil. Thanks.
I would like to know how much to ship to Long Island NY 11703? I would also like to know if i can come to you to pick it up? If so where are you located?

@IMSrockland I strongly reccomend not to buy. I had it two hours and it was falling apart. The motor seized, back stoppers bent, and valve assembly broke off. I wanted a full refund. Brought it back 4 days later, they tell me you're gonna have tuff time with that.I should have known,it's a real bad neighborhood,There's not much log splitting being done in Rockland,MA. Google it.
@firstfire603 I've had a similar situation. The first time I went to the shop some people were rude to me,and evasive when I asked for help. There was a problem in starting the machine.I wish I had bought an American made machine.I'm having trouble with the machine again, and called.Same reception.I have a feeling I'm on my own with no one to talk to for help.I'll never forget this treatment.I'm a business owner, and never treated a customer in this fashion.
