Netflix UK Review

I've been using Netflix on my HTC Sensation and on my laptop, so far its been flawless! I can even stream over a 3G connection without stuttering.

Sod all content at the moment and rebuffering every few seconds makes watching movies difficult

It needs to be updated more regularly, there are a couple of hundred films to choose from I'd say at the most, not thousands. Like I said though if movies were added frequently then it would be brilliant

there is also a site called 1channel(dot)ch which is basically the same thing except its free, and theres way more movies in their collection....i know what i'd choose lol

Poor content on Netflix! I would get it if they added more titles and they don't have THOUSANDS to chose from in the UK version of Netflix. I can't see one new title added since the launch of Netflix nearly one month ago. When are they getting more titles? I don't expect the latest blockbusters or anything, but i do expect more content.

Do they add new films everyday? My kids want to watch the Home Alone 1,2,3,4 and the ICE AGE and they are not on there?

The content in the UK version is very poor! I had a look and it only has a few films at the moment. I would wait even before trying the month trial untill they added more content.

I too was waiting for netflix, saw the tv ad here in the UK & signed up immediately! - works perfectly on android galaxy s2, fantastic hd quality although the wii quality is only 'watchable' at best. Still yet to try pc etc, but on my phone its super quality!

can you watch them in blu ray or hd cuz i stayed with lovefilm because it does games but i cant be asked to rent them now they take so long because in a month i watch about 5 films cuz it takes about a week to get to you house and send it back. but with netflix i can watch when ever. i might sign up for the 1 month free

@TheGREATEST95 Yes Netflix streams in 720 HD, they don't do games unlike Lovefilm. but the array of movies and TV shows makes Lovefilm look terrible. And Netflix is only £5,99 a month for unlimited streaming. You can also get it on PS3 Xbox Wii iPhone iPad Google Android phones so it covers all bases.

@mward0101 i think it steams in 1080p you know im not sure though, and i signed up for the 1 month free yesterday and i was dissapointed there isnt that many movies most movies are unknown flops and lovefilm probably has every film on dvd well every movie i wanted came up on lovefilm but netflix didnt even have greats like appocolypse now or even godfather, so im sticking with lovefilm untill they add more movies and tv shows into their library.

@TheGREATEST95 Thats a fare comment, i agree Lovefilm do have some different films to Netflix.

Thats because they haven't yet signed up all the studios, but it's only been out for a few days so time will tell. Plus the studios are money hungry, don't see the bigger picture Sign up for a fare price and everyones a winner.

@WILLDEEDY Very true Netflix have it rite with just the streaming side of content. It's cost effective to drop the DVD side off the business as ithink Netflix was spending upwards off £100,million on postage alone.

And you may off seen that LoveFilm have dropped there price to £4,99 £1 below Netflix.

But that is still no good if the content is not there.

@davyjonesno1 I get around 8 meg broadband from Sky, not got any issues with useing NETFLIX so all good.
