  • How is she running now? I just bought a '90 735il black on black here in San Diego, Calif. with 138,000 miles for US $1200...untorn leather seats....a steal! Very solidly built car, even the manual has a section on towing a trailer, ha! I am enjoying learning about this amazing car. I will make good use of your tips, thank you.

  • @cc92103 Car is still going great!, very strong, tight compression, no problems at all even after the electronics box got flooded with water one stormy night. just dried it all out, reset ECU's to factory defaults and away she went!

  • Where do you get your parts? Doncaster BMW has been really good with me on filters and stuff (I actually get filters cheaper than at the parts places), but I don't generally use them for most things.

Btw, I'm pretty sure your loud clicking is not your injectors, but your valve train. BMW used a square camshaft on the M10s, M20s and M30s which brings the valve almost instantly to full open and close. This is one of the main reasons these cars can eat valve train if you don't stay on top of it.

  • I had similar car little while ago. I really loved it, but when i took that to a local dealer to do a valve adjustment, they noticed an engine damage. Camshaft, Valves and rocker arms! The cost of repairs would have been about 2000-3000€. If i would have done repairs, it would be like 800, but i didn`t have a place and equipment so i got my old car back from dealer who i bought that BMW. Too bad.

  • Damn :(. they are notorious for doing that.

what happens is the oil spray bar for the cam and rockers comes loose and stops spraying oil. eventually it destroys the cam, rockers, and valves.

    I check mine annually

  • Always loved the E32s and just love mine parked out in front :)

I never knew there was such a headlight feature that youve shown, quite a nice feature to have :)

    Great video!

  • Indeed they are a nice car!, I had to read the manual to find out what the headlight thing was about!, but I have used it a few times!

  • nice car.

  • she sure is, a little expensive but nice.

next step in the resto is to get the engine idle sorted, maybe new O2 sensor first.

  • Nice BMW!, always had a soft spot for these, For our to cars we always do the service, does save alot of money!.

  • They are a timless classic IMO, only time I take it in for service work is if its an electronic tuneup.

  • ohh well yer for the tune up's and to reset the service clock after i have done the service! :)

  • nice ride bro the cops took my sht ,i got some issues wit hcops who fine you for no seat belt but alow rich men to aquire thier wealth by selling poisons to thier customers,my dad is 6ft deep died of alcohal realated liver disease and he had cancer from smoking or emphsema or some sht it dont fkn matter im not paying a seat belt ticket in a country that lets this happen and then has the nerve to fine you for no seat belt,,,fuck america i despise my country,i cant stand americans eather .

  • sorry to hear about your dad man, we have the same shit over here day in day out, no way of stopping it either since its a cultural thing (I like a drink on the weekend and hate them putting the taxes up 70%) nobody will let them ban booze or smokes (I refuse to smoke, apart from a cigar on special occasions)

but I hear ya man!, the war is far from over and its even harder when its our loved ones who are lost to it.

  • any way didnt mean to fly of on a tangent but i had a nice eddie bower explorer until i didnt pay a bunch of seat belt tikets and then i drove threw a yard and beat the shit out of some one house because the people inside where selling cocain to my 16 year old female causin ,i trashed the front yard and the bastrdes called the cops on me ya beleave that shit ,ya they whant to live in a world whare we all do what ever we want ,ha haa that didnt work out to well when i showed up,they all ran

  • I like the Explorers, even after all the quality issues and Firestone tire failures, shame ya lost it man. Over here they just deny re-registration if you don;t pay the tickets.

Drug dealers are something I absolutely despise! sounds like you did well with that lot!

I've done my share of damage in the war against drugs but i won't incriminate myself online ;) drug dealers are as protected as law abiding citizens over here, till the cops actually get to them ;)

  • It's great that you can do the work yourself. Most people have to empty their wallet to get their car fixed.

  • I agree, I wouldn't have bought it if I wasn't prepared to fix it myself!, barring major probs.

The engine bay is designed to have a 5.0L V12 crammed into it, so the 6cyl is very easy to access and work on all parts of the engine.
