  • so pretty! such a well behaved little thing.. what kind of bird is it? looks like a toy..

  • @rainewater24: I think it's a Java finch. Wild Java finches are actually a mix of black, grey, and white feathers with red beaks, but they've bred some varieties as pets and I've heard they've come up with this type. LOL, it really looks like a Japanese confection you'd like to nibble on. So cute!

  • .. very cute name. Also, i agree with some members, you look very careful with your pets since they look very happy and healthy! I envy you because I love nature and animals too, but it will be for later for now I guess! Take care! Friendly XxXxX (here is end of comment, see previous one for beginning, thank you!)

  • That bird's so cute, i love birds, it's adorable^^! That being said, I really though it was a daifuku in the form of a bird with a strawberry for the beak at start when I saw the little picture of the video since I couldn't see well, daifuku that I of course found well done, but no, that was actually a real bird lool, and so cute ^^! And so, I can understand why you named him ichigo daifuku lol ^^, at least if it is related to this, if so, it's regarding the bird's colors I guess :D, very ..

  • Beautiful as always :) Thanks.

And so good to know your both fine!

  • 見事な毛並み。かわいい。

  • Oh, he's so cute! I love their sweet little pink beaks, and their pure white feathers. He looks like he's very happy with you as his owner ^-^

  • Thank you for the new video of Shin. Beautiful music, too! What does Ichigo Daifuku mean?

  • (^.^) Ichigo daifuku (イチゴ大福?) A variation containing strawberry and sweet filling, most commonly anko, inside a small round mochi. Creams are sometimes used for sweet filling. Because it contains strawberry, it is usually eaten during the spring time. It was invented in the 1980s. Many patisseries claim to have invented the confection, so its exact origin is vague. (wikipedia)

  • @YOSHIBO2006

Thank you for letting me know. He does look like he is made of strawberry and cream! So sweet, too! I might say "strawberry shortcake".

  • (^_^)v

  • @javakogan : Hello! Actually "ichigo 苺" means "strawberry" and "dai-fuku 大福" means "big-luck". "Daifuku" is the term that named the famous rice pasta balls that is eating for dessert in Japan (but also in Korea), most of the time we like to eat it with sweetened red bean pasta in it, and believe me, it's delicious, i love it, the texture is really nice too, funny to touch and eat ^ ^, really! You can find it in Japanese groceries and some Japanese and Korean restaurants if you want. Take care!

  • @javakogan : And so, yep, since anyone doesn't know well Japanese cuisine, it should be specified than the "anko" is the red bean pasta and that the "mochi" is the "rice pasta". For the cream, yes, sometimes it's filled with some cream, I could taste some once, and I loved the one with the vanilla cream, that was really nice and so good! Friendly Ps : So yep, I think the elements regarding the origin of the bird's chosen name are mochi and strawberry due of the bird's colours I guess ^^, cute!

  • @NeptunianAngel Thank you for your explanation...

  • @javakogan

the bird looks like an ichigo daifuku.

    :)
