i don't understand the song quite well, but it has to do something with James parents. They always wanted to control him and not to be what he wanted. You know they died when James was about 16, because they denied medical help. He can't forgive them for that, and now he realizes that he wasted his life with this fight.

But the song has a much deeper meaning, its impossible to discribe it as goog as the song does!

@TheKnifem4n no0 it is true that his mother was a bit contoling and refusing medical help was a example of her control but she wasnt that crazy mom that she yelled at you to do yourhome work and you would have to be in at home 8 because she allowed him to listen to metal and wear band shirts and in the time of james teenage years it was prety taboo to be wearing motorhead iron maiden judas preist so i guess she wasnt that bad for a religiouse person
