  • Agree with this music, the original was and is the Best of all time... highli ght of my childhood

  • I think it would be good for the mohammad cartoon

  • i prefere this music, the music that was used from 1990 was crap

  • this music was also used on the itv game show gives us a clue in the first season

  • best ever!

  • Classic!

  • love this !

  • i started watching grange hill 1990-ish when they were using the more recent theme music - but i can remember watching the repeats that bbc2 started showing back in april 1993, every sunday ... every single episode, and this music was used n i loved it after hearin it for the first time!

still, that being said the other theme music is better than this!

  • No it is in its arse, this is classic

  • Oh my god I've gone back in time! I used to like this programme, anyone remember Mr Bronson the scary teacher who became headmaster at one point? I met him once he was really nice and i think he played Adolf Hitler in an Indianna Jones film not sure though. But anyway thanks for the time travel experience

  • Yes he did play Hitler in Indiana Jones. He was also an Imperial Admiral in The Empire Strikes Back. Vader killed him.

  • This tune was also used as the theme tune to the ITV gameshow Give Us a Clue between 1979 and 1981.

  • This piece of music is called 'Chicken Man' and was composed by Alan Hawkshaw.

  • RIP Grange Hill :l. Cracking theme though.

  • i loved grange hill wen tucker was in it

  • Interesting reading what the American said in the other comment,i once heard the GH theme used in a scene in an American naughty film called Babyface years ago.

  • Damn. The first 13 seconds are awesome. I'm from the US and only know of Grange Hill through one scene in the most amazing show ever: Spaced. Go UK.

  • It sounds a bit like the beginning of "Unidentified (Flying Being)", a Steve Hillage track from about the same time.

  • full length, superb. many thanks...i play bass in a band & we've often messed with this, but we are definitely going to work this out now.

when GH i was about 10 yrs old, & me mum would get really cross if she caught us watching. She thought it was too rude. She should have had a closer look around my own crappy school if she wanted rudeness!

  • yep, the tv show that introduced kids to heroin, the occult, teen suicides, arson, making out in the stock rooms. fucking brilliant eh?

  • It's also the last one.

  • Bronson's got to pay. Tim! Tim! Bronson's got to pay! Get it? He's got a toupee!
