PC fanboys: Hardware isn't everything, software and the communication between software and hardware is just as important as hardware. So with that being said, the Mac can outperform a Windows based computer which has got better hardware (though not within gaming).
Why? Apple carefully makes drivers to be as good as possible and optimizes the software/OS to fit with the driver and hardware. Everything is perfectly fit together.
But, Mac and PC are both good, so, please stop "fanboying".
I prefer Linux. The community is so nice, and it ->IS<- impossible to get a virus except when you MEAN to download software, and even then, most of the software comes from the repositories, these things that the makers themselves update. So, the only way to get a virus is to download software from a shady website, mark it as executable (so software can't run unless you tell it to be able to), then run it. Also, with the whole command-line thing, it's almost all copy and paste when you need it

You can get this in wireless mice as well but it costs more and wired mice do a better job. You also need to buy batteries for wireless mice.

I worked at a place called "Mac Central", look 'em up on Ebay, they UNINSTALLED leopard in favor of tiger, because Leopard was causing problems, and "we aren't tech support."
I use both and will "admit" that it's not even close, and with Snow Leopard next month there will be no question. I've personally had 0 problems with Leopard and have to reboot my windows machine daily. These are facts.
My Leopard & SL work fine. Never had a problem with anything since OS-10. Prior to OS-10, I couldn't stand it. These days I use homebuilt XP towers and OS10 laptops.

windows is nothing but a build on the 93 1st edition. Mac can do all the things a pc can faster and with less "hard ware". no thread buffering on video means a 256mb card works as good as a 1gig pc card. Mac is priced at that it is because it simply dose more for less Hardware. PC's are grate what I don't like is Microsoft windows. I have a mac and a PC with Linx.

When they were both released, YUP! After Vista's SP1, it's great, after Leopard was patched up, it's better! Imagine that... The sad part about leopard? APPLE CONTROLS THE HARDWARE IT CAN BE INSTALLED ON! And they still fail to release a glitch free system...

I use both and will "admit" that it's not even close, and with Snow Leopard next month there will be no question. I've personally had 0 problems with Leopard and have to reboot my windows machine daily. These are facts.

My Leopard & SL work fine. Never had a problem with anything since OS-10. Prior to OS-10, I couldn't stand it. These days I use homebuilt XP towers and OS10 laptops.

and the benchmarks *are* available on apples site, go to a page for a hardware line and they are listed (eg. MacPro vs. Del dimension etc.)

i personally have bad experience with pc. the hard drive it crushed 2 times. i spent $400 to fix and load up the programs. i did have windows defender and some other virus protection and still got virus, and now is making some kind noise and blown hot air. Now im proudly to say that im a mac user and love it..
