INXS was a band that I totally played their cassette practically every waking moment I had! Michael was at his sexiest during this time, he really was. He had some very hot hair that really pulled on his sex appeal. I dont know a teen girl back in the day that wasnt in love with Michael! :-) I would be seriously glued to the television when this video came on Mtv! And then squeal like a teen girl! lol oh come on girls, we all did! hahaha :-D Michael is very missed. INXS is missed. RIP Mike. ♥

@BobJoelSmith101 WOW. hard to believe it has been 14 years. i remember that day Michael passed - almost as if it was yesterday. the news spread like wildfire, the radio stations were playing INXS all day & like everyone, i was shocked & sad. Michael left us way too soon. also, for those who may not know - Duran Duran has a song called' "Michael - You've Got a lot to Answer For". Simon wrote it about his friendship with Michael. worth checking out for fans of Micahel or Duran. RIP Michael.

@benepenny you're welcome :) i saw Duran perform "Michael" around 2000 - 2001. i guess since it's more of an unknown Duran song - the crowd didn't get too into it. you could hear people talking loudly during it & my friend and i were getting annoyed since Simon was somber in his emotions on stage & in turn it felt disrespectful that people were talking so loudly thoughout it. i know most people don't know what (or whom) the song is about. but for those who do, it means a lot. I like INXS, always have. One memory that sticks out about this band from my childhood is me asking my Dad at age 11, "Dad is U2 a good band?" Dad replied, "oh yeah a great band". (2 secs later) "Hey Dad is INXS a good band" Dad: No they aren't".

After Kurt Cobain saw me skateboarding he told Hutch about it and this is why INXS used the image on the album cover with Hutch on a skateboard. I was an avid roller skater and the songs Need You Tonight & Mediate I made up while Hutch stood in the middle of the rink while I skated around him. This inspired the idea for music vid for Mediate. The SEX on his zipper in this was inspired by Vivienne Westwoods shop & Adam & The Ants song. I made up Nickelback's song S.E.X. after this.

@TheNostaglicFlower Hutch was probably the sexiest man I've ever met. At 15 in 1983 Joe Elliott of Def Leppard brought him to meet me. INXS had been on tour with Adam Ant in the US. I fell in love with Hutch and we wrote many songs together. Need You Tonight/Mediate I made up while at the roller skating rink with Hutch. He didn't put on any skates & stood in the middle of the floor while I skated around him. Which is where I came up with the idea for Mediate's music video.
