@tarmacblack1 actually the weight is very similar the lower end is going to be quite similar it's the higher end that the evo will start to lack, because the motor has to work very hard to push the power to the 4 wheels unlike the srt-4 which would only be 2. My friend let me race an 04 sti in his 05 srt-4 and we were pretty much dead even from 40-140 i pulled him by a fender. The srt-4 only had an intake 3' downpipe wastegate and blow off valve. Plus if you're poor 5000$ a lot of money :P

@Rtree115, thats not true. SRT-4 is cheaper to mod then a Evo. I have a Evo 8 MR 2.3 stroker almost completely built 650 - 700 AWHP on 93 but cost me close to $24,000 just in Mods. My friend has a fully built SRT-4 for almost half of what I paid + more HP

Wow, the evo obviously had a lot more extensive mods done to it compared to the SRT. The SRT is running off of stock internals... The evo has aftermarket internals. Stronger insides that can handle more boost and take more power. Not to mention, on a couple of the races, The evo was spooling before the race even started. When the evo was spooling the SRT was sitting at not even 4k... the evo was definately more ready for this race. Why would you start a race like that?
Where does it say the Evo has aftermarket internals? The only thing I see that may make you think this is the "forge MBC". The Evo does have a FP Green turbo which could be the 16G and not the Evo 9 20G. Looks to me the cars mods aren't that far off from each other. I bet that evo has around 350-380 whp depending on the boost. Could have more though ;)
Out of Wrxs, Evo, and Srts the Evo is best when it comes to easy HP gains because the car is so retrictive from the factory. Evos gain like a 3rd more hp per every mod you do if you did the same to a srt or wrx. People wonder why they still cost so much, because mitsu and dealerships know what they are capable of.
ok why not at least have a cold air or short ram intake on those turbos cus with that turbo sittin behind the engine i say u get alot heat sucked in..
& forgot to add.. traction issues.. why don't you just get better tires and spend a little more of your money on suspension and not motor mods.. my fwd car beats other fwd cars with more power because I have better traction and all they do is spin

No evo needs 1000cc injectors unless you're running e85....or maybe a larger stock turbo (FP Red)....and e85.

putting that kind of money in the motor of an fwd car is a goddamn waste, they're so light you try to put that kind of power to the wheels and all the car does for the first 3 gears is just wheelspin...even on the first pull when they're going ~50 the srt4's tires are still spinning.. evos can at least put the power down with the awd.. keep the motor stock or buy a better car... period

@Rtree115, thats not true. SRT-4 is cheaper to mod then a Evo. I have a Evo 8 MR 2.3 stroker almost completely built 650 - 700 AWHP on 93 but cost me close to $24,000 just in Mods. My friend has a fully built SRT-4 for almost half of what I paid + more HP

@JoKeRrIdDlEs That cant be just performance...I have a stroker as well as AEM, cams, all the bolts ons and fuel upgrades and I am nowhere near that. My man Jake, his evo is 700+awhp and he did it for between 10 and 15000.

@JoKeRrIdDlEs someone took you for a ride. 15k is about what a built 2.3 evo cost and this is including shep trans /w 4.11 gears and shep stage 3 transfercase, br 2.3 + head + shit tons other mods. with 24k i could build a 8 second evo. 450whp is nothing, can be had with fp red, mbc, intake, exhaust, cams, fuel pump, injectors, tephra mod = DONE. - about $3500. you and your buddy got assfucked with fees.

Wow, the evo obviously had a lot more extensive mods done to it compared to the SRT. The SRT is running off of stock internals... The evo has aftermarket internals. Stronger insides that can handle more boost and take more power. Not to mention, on a couple of the races, The evo was spooling before the race even started. When the evo was spooling the SRT was sitting at not even 4k... the evo was definately more ready for this race. Why would you start a race like that?

Where does it say the Evo has aftermarket internals? The only thing I see that may make you think this is the "forge MBC". The Evo does have a FP Green turbo which could be the 16G and not the Evo 9 20G. Looks to me the cars mods aren't that far off from each other. I bet that evo has around 350-380 whp depending on the boost. Could have more though ;)

Out of Wrxs, Evo, and Srts the Evo is best when it comes to easy HP gains because the car is so retrictive from the factory. Evos gain like a 3rd more hp per every mod you do if you did the same to a srt or wrx. People wonder why they still cost so much, because mitsu and dealerships know what they are capable of.

Put some slicks and mod those suspension. Traction issue won't be too much of a problem when you do those.
