@randomperson2538 What would I do if there were no god? I would rejoice at my freedom and run naked through the streets proclaiming "I am free! I am free!" But wishful thinking isn't a luxury I have.

@randomperson2538 You're right, god is just an invention of a primitive mind. Before science explained the sun or the moon or the tides or lightning they were attributed to god/gods. Now that science has explained away those things people turn to the distant past and the distant future, giving god as their explanation for where we came from and where we're going. In a hundred years when those things have also been explained, what will god be then I wonder?

@Brotherinchrist1985 nothing. people will hopefully have realized that they are responsible for their actions and that when they do something good it is from their own heart. When you accomplish something great, it will be YOU who accomplished it. no one will be bale to say you only did it because god let you or did it for you.
when something bad happens to you, you won't DESERVE it, it will just be either bad luck or another persons doing.

Why is it here in america if you are atheist you are considered a satanist, gay or evil? It is amazing how how unchristian christians will act when their beliefs weakness's are exposed. I also have pondered the same thing this god allegedly destroyed the world and cities back in the day. Why is now in modern times Christians feel he needs them to defend him? He is god after all.

The way the religious tend to flip back and forth between outright hate and feeling self-conscious about being so outright hateful, reminds me of the shell that so many people have created around themselves as a result of internet anonymity. Both seem to give those that are looking for one, an excuse to throw compassion out the window and speak from the core of their unresolved anger, insulting and/or threatening others. And they say atheists are just looking for a way to avoid accountablity?
