in marvel 2 the only inf you gotta worry about is IM's. his inf + proton cannon is 100% on every char excluding sent. you gotta take the rom to dizzy twice to be near death for most chars, excluding sent. storms inf are used for flash cause they are impractical on every char excluding sent. cables infs... just do the AHVB instead... in high level play an inf is nothing but a tool to help you set up true char killing tech.. if you only have the rom then you won't win anything anytime soon.

The difference is that there are no real infinites used in high level MvC2. Every practical loop breaks after a certain amount of hits, and the magneto ROM "infinite" does piss poor damage by itself. MvC3 is even worse when it comes to touch of death combos. The only character in MvC2 that can consistently do a practical touch of death combo is Iron Man, and he's not used much anymore. Don't get me wrong, because I learned to love both MvC2 and MvC3 for what they are.

An infinite is an infinite, because it's a combo that goes on forever. Only the misinformed still believe that MvC2 had many "real" infinites. It's due to the Dizzy System. The game detects the loops after certain amount of times (neofantomu explained this already), and then breaks it (VIA dizzying out). If I recall correctly, MvC2 was the 1st marvel game to implement an anti-infinite system. There are plenty of loops in MvC2 and MvC3, but not infinites. Learn the difference.

LMAO you are really clueless... Infinite combo is not an ordinary 100% combo. There are plenty 100% non-infinite combos in MvC3 and much less so in MvC2. It's a combo that repeats itself. Hence the name "infinite", because it can be repeated an infinite number of times in "ONE" sequence. Loops can only be repeated a certain amount of times, and then the game breaks them VIA detection or hitstun deterioration. Why is it so difficult for you to understand something as simple as this?
