I always thought this cartoon was made in the 80's or, at the very earliest, the 70's, I never knew it was a 60's show, I grew up with this (born in 1983) so I hence why I thought it was an 80's show.
I used to see this show on "The Banansplits" in the late 60's and on WFLD in the late 70's and later on WPWR with Atom Ant which was in the 80's. Also in the 80's I saw in a book that I first saw in teh 70's that had Adam Ant Secret Squirl were show together and of course later I finally saw the two shows together and seperate from "The Bannana Splits".
I LOVVVED S.S. and still do! I still have some old tapes of him from when Cartoon Network showed him (back when they had the good stuff). This was one of the best things that came out of the Sixties! :)
yes yellow pinkie was a huge uy that inhaled and blew his breath with hurricane velocity.his voice was modeled after sidney greenstreet. and morocco moles voice was after peter lorre. i was lucky enough to be 7 years old whan this cartoon was popular . and it is cool to see it on youtube.
I actualy remember this stuff and became a cartoonist myself. do you remember the hillbilly bears? that was funny, my mother laughed herself sick over that . another hanna barberra one. I just watched a youtube on the go go golphers Termite Terror I laughed my self silly! my wife was wondering what the hell was so funny . the term whoopie doopie, and the way he says it is too funny . anyway I think some cartoons nowadays are crap.
wow i don't remember the Hair Bear Bunch. look up the Hillbilly bears on youtube papa bear just mumbles then says a key word like the babbeling retarded golpher on go go golphers
HB rulez! Especially from the beginning till the very end of the '80s. The cartoons weren't only just a show, but a transistor of the time's mode and music. Just look at Tom&Jerry: it's full with jazz
Secret Squirrel, Inch High Private-Eye, Hong Kong Phooey!!! Legendary cartoons all!!!! Hahahaha!! To Spruxy--waddya mean the intro is tacky!!! It's bloody excellent!!
recuerdos de mi niñes:el inspector ardilla,la hormiga atomica,la pantera rosa y el inspector.muy buenos dibujos para volver a verlos nuevamente en television.
and no offense to you but the quality of stories are better are on the original by far and the new ones can't compare, i'm sorry but i just love the original so much and the new wasn't even better than two stupid dogs.
I used to watch Secret Squirrel and Atom Ant when I was little. This is so nice. Thank you for posting this. Squibbly Squid... Vroom Vilda... Memories...
I remember watching this toon premier along with Atom Ant on the first Saturday that it aired in the U.S. Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera landed in a helicopter on top of their studios to present their twonew "groovy" creations. And they were!
Man, this was one of the coolest cartoon characters ever - next to "Top Cat" It's too bad they don't make 'em like this any more. Glad to see people share my interests.
