  • Huh. An english teacher who also knows a hint of Spanish, while speaking in Japanese.

American English really depends on the region you're in. Take me for example, I'm a California boy - and I sound nothing at all like "derp, derpa, derp". Probably because I'm not a complete and total moron, unlike our government.

  • @Sandovart It's how Japanese people show nonsense English.

  • @NoctemOUT

    fuck you

  • For some reason I can imagine them with World is mine (hatsune miku vocaloid)

  • If only english was that simple!

  • What da hell

  • But this cartoon is wrong....American english sounds more like "derp derp derpa derp"

  • @Protagonist No, English spoken by Southerners sounds like "derp derp derpa derp."

  • Pera? Pera Pera! Pera Pera Pera Pera Pera Pera D:< Pera Pera Pera peraaaa! Pera! PERA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Sandovart in jap, pera pera is suppose to be a term that represents fluency; thus in azumanga daioh, they didnt feel like using actual engrish and made it so u cant understand shit

  • i am happy to say i got off the Azumanga Daioh (but now im snorting Nichijo)

  • @RonofArr I know exactly what you mean :D

  • @TheTraveler12 How do you know he's american?

  • pera pera.. so THATS how americans sound to japanese? hmm.. interesting..

  • @TheTraveler12 Not really, the noun "perapera" is a generic word used to stand in for foreign languages when you don't know the language yourself. "So yeah, that guy was all like, 'Watashi wa pera pera pera' and I just kicked his face in."

  • wow! english is so simple lol

  • @Sandovart it means bitch as in female dog (as in "la perra esta` inferma", or the dog is sick."

  • that was the best English I have ever heard... ever.

  • I like the Perra part the most XDXDXD

  • That must be what we sound like to Japanese people......

  • XD i wanna know why they never had them actually talking in English XDD

  • @Sandovart Right back at him... then...? Anyway he said "Eckscyoosumee" so I think he's speaking Engrish. I'm sorry, English.

  • Nyamo's english... It's so cute.

  • Pera pera pera pera!!

  • Just to clarify this: "Pera pera (ぺらぺら)" is a gitaigo (words mimicking states). They directly express states or actions of people and things. There are a few meanings for "pera pera" depending on the context."

  • @Sandovart In this case it's just "Pera" which roughly means just shes's "talking" and talking some more without it having any deeper meaning. She & the guy aaren't actually talking about anything, it's more like "sound effect".

  • Excu-sa me.

  • There's also the possibility that they are just saying "Blah" with a Japanese accent, it would sound something like "Berah" or something like that, I think

  • @Sandovart "pera" means"fluent / flow" in japanese. I guess they are using it to signal fluent talk.

  • USODAAAA! XD

  • All english can be described, spoken or written with "Pera" in that world T_T

  • hahaha. .why pera pera? pera is money in the philippines :]

  • Pera! PERA, Pera peraaa?...... Pera peraaaaaa peeeeeeeera pera!!!!

    Hahahahahaha

  • @Companioncube12 there asking for each others money if you can speak tagalog

  • @Companioncube12 A wild Pera has appeared!
