  • Dakota Sioux Lived in south dakota my entire life.

Now i move to Arizona. Its like. "This is not my home!?"

  • @dothdude

I didn't grow up on the reservation, but ALWAYS felt like something was missing and couldn't relate to any of the people where I live, but when I went to visit relatives on the rez, it always felt like I had come home, even as a little girl I felt this way.

  • Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux, is my reservation ! cool pictures/music !

  • @14littlecrow

Wow! That's awesome, I hope you can connect to the census because if you can't, in a year, it won't be your home anymore.

  • @ITSONLYMEWATCHING I'm a Cermak, John Cermak is my 2nd great grand father, and he has Indian land assessments in 1944. His grandmother was Angline Morand sister of chief Littlecrow. Oh i'm on it lol

  • @14littlecrow

Really? Because I was under the impression the Cermaks were land squatters, just like about 80% of the people living on the land right now. I connect to Lucy Otherday who happens to be my gggrandmother who is on both census' along with the other Otherdays. Maybe I read everything wrong? But I don't recall the name Morand or Cermak on any of the census', but then again they are kind of hard to read.

    LOL, oh no you're not!

  • when i was 14, i was told by a healer that one of my guardian angels were a sioux indian who had been with me for many lifetimes (i never really believed her, it was so farfetched). last year, at 21, i exchanged to north dakota. i took a walk in the woods and on the other side of town, there were several native americans by a cafè. i walked right by them, then i heard my name (Katrine). i turned and there was a sioux woman looking at me, i felt lost in time and place. we didn't speak though.

  • @zugarpies

    wonderful :)

  • @zugarpies My husband and just came back from North Dakota, Crazy Horse Monument. I was so moved by it all I cried during the movie presentation and the museum. I told my husband we had to move there as I felt I belonged somehow to the Lakotas. The Spirit moves us in ways we do not know.

  • @zugarpies seems legit

  • @zugarpies a healer? what type of healer?

  • @schlibbles3 I don't know, she just gave me a healing and is generally known for communcating with guardian angels

  • Does anyone know if there's a way for me to find my ancestor's tribe? I've been searching the internet for some way to do this, but I haven't found anything too promising. I'm not looking for them for money, or for a way to get scholarships for college, which I've found that others have tried (that's awful, by the way). I just wanted to know if I could meet her family, because I never knew my Sioux ancestor.

  • @EvangelineAraho I know there's like nine Indian reservations in South Dakota, but like anyone else some move away to other states. Try calling one of the tribes on any reservation and most likey you might get a response. Worth a try. Good luck.

  • Beautiful photographs. Magnificent and dignified.

  • Brilliant,lots of love went into this.Cheers!

  • Thanks! :)
