and been living here for the past 18 years since my birth in 1992

but yeah, it's kinda hard to see the real difference between flamenco and "ranchera" music, since mexico was conquered by spain, it's music was heavily influenced by flamenco

the trumpets are the hard part to differentiate, but the guitars are definitely flamenco-style of playing

This band is pretty fucking awesome. When my friend first told me about this band i thought it was going to suck so much. I didn't think i would like metal with opera lyrics. man was i wrong. I have a list of usic that has hundreds of bands on it that I want to get & this jumped up to #1 just like that. That's how good they are.

There is so much metal with classically trained vocalists you'd probably be amazed. You can find it in basically every genre but death metal (which is defined mostly by having death vocalists). And even then you can find it in the back at times.

So yeah, don't write any metal band off because it has 'opera lyrics.' Unless it's power or hair, in which case, you shouldn't be writing it off because of the 'opera'...
