Religion is always a culprit. Everyone judges Andrea and Rusty, but then you all go on and love your Gods who all killed their children (supposedly). Imagine if this woman had never heard about a god or devil. She didn't do it because of some deep seeded feelings of not wanting to be a mother anymore or that her kids were getting in the way of things, she believed that she had to kill them to save their souls. It was the only time I ever got angry and left bruises on one of my children and I faced criminal charges for it and have never been able to forgive myself for that even though I have been a model parent otherwise. We don't know why people act the way they do. God says our place is to forgive.

the real Andrea Yates was suffering from post pardon depression. This is an example of how home engineers aka stay at home mom's need help and support especially after having a baby. It also brings awarness to us of how someone with PD should be closely monitored. It isn't alway's this bad. Sometimes this condition can be helped with counceling but there are some cases in which medication is benificial to the patient to prevent bodily harm.

He was the one that talked her into getting off medication so they could have a 5th child that Doctor's strongly counseled them against. He was the one that left his children unsupervised with his wife after he had been told she needed 24/7 supervision. Those 5 children died from Andrea's hands, but their deaths rest on his head!

Ms. Yates didn't suffer from mere post-partum depression but a severe form of post-partum psychosis. Yes, she was crazy. the real Andrea Yates was suffering from post pardon depression. This is an example of how home engineers aka stay at home mom's need help and support especially after having a baby. It also brings awarness to us of how someone with PD should be closely monitored. It isn't alway's this bad. Sometimes this condition can be helped with counceling but there are some cases in which medication is benificial to the patient to prevent bodily harm.

Wait a minute I think that's sort of harsh. I remember making a comment to this video and although I dont remember what I said moonlightdance made it clear to me now. You know how hard it would be to do what this woman was doing with her mental disorder? It is true, I can't imagine it. I dont think she could fully understand what she was doing. I think she loved her kids and I dont think she killed them out of anger or hate just insanity. If you are insane you dont know between right and wrong.

Great to finally find someone who gets it. She's under stress, put her through more stress by forcing her to have another, force her to home teach and deal with 5 kids all day long. No wonder she flipped out. If she were in combat, it would be called posttraumatic distress disorder, but here everyone just thinks she's just nuts.
