I played my first under 10's tournament at age 7 and won... his footwork is poorly coordinated especially on his forehand... but considering he's 7, he has more than enough time to work on it...
@marleysings at what point does your reply seem consistent with my comment considering I previously acknowledged his age and the fact that he has time to work on his game and correct his errors? seriously weird... it says "best 7 year old tennis player" in the title, I was merely commenting on its misleading nature...
Inconsistent footwork patterns I'm afraid, having a good eye for a ball is simply not enough....you can get away with average movement on red/orange..but not green/full ball.
I'm on my high school's varsity tennis team so for all the people thinking he's not good because he's not at the baseline, you should know it's a lot A LOT harder to hit shots at the service line than at the baseline. You have to get lots of topspin to get them in. Well unless you're just tapping them over which this kid isn't....so yeah. Maybe you should know what you're talking about before you rip on a 7 year old hitting at the baseline.
Wait a moment... I have a kid in my tennis lessons that hits the ball like this boy, but he plays on the base line... I hope I can do a video soon and show you :D
hahaha He's good. But not the best. For a second I thought he was at the base line hitting those. And then I realized it was the service line. Try and hit at the base line and lets see some serves and then maybe you'll be the best.
now get out of no-mans land where the other kids will be smashing it

great talent but uhm why does everyone think his/her child is a prodigy? i mean it takes more than hitting a ball

The cheesy music and the dubbed-in ball strike and swoosh sounds are seriously annoying. He does hit the ball well.
