@maryamalkaabi - That is an endangered "Monk Seal" trying to sleep when hit by CNN's big (laughable) Tidal Wave that they showed live for 3 hours... which actually resulted in a full 4 foot tidal surge - see time lapse links over 4 hours instead of covering the real tidal wave that hit Chile and killed many... so don't believe the news all the time.

@buen0brim0 I've only seen a seal a 2 different times on the beach and they' were caution taped off. It's illegal to get  within a certain distance of them. In the ocean I haven't come across one yet. I guess they could attack you but coming into contact with them is so scarce that the chances of that happening is next to zero. Born, raised and living on Oahu for 29yrs and I surf and fish a lot so that gives you an idea of how rare seeing a seal is.
