Looks like a real nice kit..I'm loving the short toms. I bet the attack is awesome. Recently bought your DVD Aaron and loved the analogy about the stop sign relating to timing. You have such a great sense of time and its refreshing to hear someone just say..you gotta feel it. It's definitely something you can't teach and its why your playing feels so natural and "flowy"..keep groovin.

why do church drummer try to act like they no so much theory?! he's playing in 5/4 but hit fill are still in 4/4 and he's not landing on the actual 1.... he's starting a new 1 everytime..... I guess it doesn't matter when you have chops right?

I am the last one to tell you that I am a theory major who knows everything..I just love music man & I have been fortunate enough to play on a few platforms..I have so far to go and so much to learn..Unfortunately, this vid was really chopped up edited and it doesn't stay in the flow of the 5/4 nor do you hear the track that I played to..I'll be sure to play this tune post it when I get off of tour..God Bless..

@AaronSpears thanks for the reply, tell me though those were fast crashes right. im looking for a new set of zildjians and as far as crash cymbals go those fast crashes are my favorite, though im also loving there e fx and the rezo crash. but for now fast crashes. prob 16 and 18in a 22in ride 8,10,and12 inch splashes, probably pick up the hybrid splash and the hybrid crash, and a 18in oriental trash china and of course 14in hihats our choir is growing so im looking to step my game up a bit.

Man all of us know you can play, like the video said product demo, not recording. I thought the sounds were quite creative and bold, being that most drummers don't want to find there on style. Eventhough the sound wasn't what I'm use to hearing , if it was a Cd rather than a video I still would've known it was you. If and when you hit Memphis or any surrounding area hit me up.

@minstrel34 he def does not start a new 1 after every chop...that statement was outlandish smh...but as far as the statement about gospel drummer acting like they kno alot of theory, well I never met those cats you ran into, but im sure it occur with drummers from many other genres too...just because you know theory dont mean you can play....and just because you can play dont mean you know theory...same goes with learning chops....
