@Scottums 5427 it wax originally in an 02 f 350 but some one t boned me while I was backing my boat in the driveway the truck was cashed cause the ass hole that hit me decided to ram me doin like 80 and his drunkin response to the cop was I was trying to scare him into goin faster u can only go so fast when ur towing a 26 ft boat anyways bought a used 06 350 and cause the engine was still good I swapped it for the 7.3 cause that engine hasn't failed me yet so still have the engine and gonna

I've got 3 diesel trucks and there ask good motors have a2006 f 350 7.3 powerstroke turbo diesel modded a 4500c duramax dumptruck and a f 250 with a cummins swap and too me there all good engines with reg maintenance they all run respectively and proud they'll crush any import motor never lost one race with the 250 beat a rice burner honda civic carrying the 350 diesel and my gt500 it just smoked him couldn't even see him cause all the exhaust it was fuckin awesome

i think your glow plugs are bad bro, i have both a 36 12 and 24 valve cummins and they all need to be changed regularly as a maintenance preventative. i have mine done at pep boys they give me a 3 truck deal for 600 bucks a truck once a year i do it

@gratmcgat Cummins dont have glow plugs. They have a grid heater. The only reason the truck didnt stay running was the idle was set to low. Also Ive heard the muffler bearings in the 36 valve cummins cause the glow plugs to wear unevenly. That could be why they go bad so much. You should ask PepBoys to look into it.

Yeh Cummins have a "Grid Heater" that rarely ever goes bad. Them other diesel trucks have "Glow Plugs" which go bad all the time and they have 8 of them hahaha.

There's a fishing boat near by my house that runs twin Cummins QSM11-M engines and has over 30,000 hours on them and are still running fine and they're not rebuilt. Everything is the same from the factory and they still make 715 hp each. Right now I'm running outboards on my boat but when I upsize and need inboards I know what's going to be the heart of my beast.
