That was brutal. It was very anti-climactic. There was no moment of shock. As far as I know, you went on the ship for a few hours. Please tell me you actually went on a cruise. Nothing personal folks. I've done a Disney Cruise and it was great and when I was young my parents surprised me and my brother and sister with a Disney vacation and we were out of our minds.

Great surprise! Anticipation is fun, but surprises can be great too. Sometimes telling kids everything up front makes the experience less special. Especially in today's world where kids have SO much. It's nice to be able to truly surprise and shock them!

i was sitting on a flight from minneapolis to orlando once, and asked the 10yo next to me if he had ever been to disneyworld....... his mom looked at me, and said "he didn't know where we were flying to"..... felt bad for a second , but still chuckle to this day

I tend to agree with you. This is the first time we'd done this. But, they were expecting the trip to Orlando, just not the cruise. Pretty funny about the kid on the plane. I bet the mom wasn't too happy though...Thanks for watching. John

They knew we were going to Disney, just not he cruise. So the luggage was in the trunk. My oldest still didn't know what was going on after I started to unload the luggage at the port. (She's usually in on things...Christmas, Easter.) She was shocked, but pretty happy in the end.

Yes, we did the whole cruise! They just didn't know about it until we were about to get on the ship. (Of course, we did also each lunch.)
